James walked into the room which Jessie slept in after hearing a frightening scream from the room. They had rented an apartment after quitting their jobs in Team Rocket. That, of course, had been hard for Jessie considering she wanted to be a great Rocket like her mother.

He saw her staring into space on the side of her bed. "Jess?" He asked walking up behind her. She didn't turn until he put a hand to her shoulder.

She turned and he saw stains of blood painting her body. He stared in horror as she glared at him with icy, cold, eyes.

"J-Jessie? W-what happened to you?" He asked in a shaky, worried tone. She wiped the blood from her cheek with the back of her hand as he walked back, slowly trying to walk out of the room.

She got up and walked towards him, when he suddenly noticed a limp body by her bed. It was the real Jessie, bleeding a dangerous amount of blood.

He stopped walking back and took one step forward, mustering up all the courage he had. He never would have usually done this but he had known who the fake Jessie was.

"Jessebelle..." He muttered under his breath. He then was filled with anger as he ran to the limp body of Jessie. He propped her up with his hands and glared angrily at Jessebelle.

"What did you do to her?" He asked coldly. He was holding back a lump in his throat that carried a strong sob for his friend.

Jessebelle chuckled. "I did what was right, James." She replied. "You would never want to spend your life with a self centered woman like that? Now would you, James?"

He cringed at the sound of her voice and got up with his head low. His hands stained with Jessie's blood. He looked up at Jessebelle with rage in his eyes.

Tears were streaming down his face as he clenched his fists. "The right thing to do would be to kill you." He said with rage.

He took a pocket knife out from his sweats that he carried about when he was awake. James slowly walked towards Jessebelle and pushed her back into the wall behind her and gently lay the knife to her throat.

"Maybe this will stop you from following me around like a lost puppy." He mumbled to her, tears still streaming down his cheeks.

He slit her throat with the knife and watched her fall to the floor. He dropped the pocket knife and fell to his knees, sobbing. He couldn't stop sobbing when suddenly a raspy voice called to him.

"James..." the voice called. He turned to find a weak Jessie stretching her arm out to touch him. He crawled over to her and pulled her into his arms, sobbing in her hair.

"I'm sorry..." he whispered in her ear. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He felt guilty for taking Jessebelle's life and letting Jessie get hurt.

Jessie weakly turned around facing him and lifted his chin. She kissed a tear that had fallen from one of his shining emeralds eyes and fell into his chest.

"Don't be." She said calmly. She was able to muster a small smile from her lips. James cried over her limp body that lay in his arms.

"I love you Jessica." He said between sobs. "I love you so damn much."

"Please don't leave me." He said quietly.

Jessie lifted her head slightly to face his sad expression. She calmly brought her lips to his and blushed slightly.

James deepened the kiss, wishing it would last forever, until Jessie's body went completely limp. He parted from the kiss as she mumbled her last breath.

"I love you too, James. I wish we could have spent more moments together." And with that, she collapsed in his arms.
