Coming To An End

Let's Party

The end of the school week came far too quickly and now, I find myself getting ready for Luke’s party and slipping into the red dress that Taylor thought I should wear. The red fabric clings to my skin and stops mid – thigh. The dress ties at the neck and my bare back shows. Putting on my black high heels to make me look taller, I glance at my dark brown and now curly hair and look towards my face. I am wearing lip gloss and mascara – my eye lashes are tiny. 

Looking down at myself, I now feel that I am ready to go. I grab my bag and my phone and walk into Alicia’s room.

“Wow, you look really nice.” Alicia’s long light brown hair is curled, her make up light and pretty, pink lip gloss, mascara and light blue eye shadow. Her short light blue dress shows her skinny figure amazingly; it consists of a tight top and a tiny flare in the skirt of the dress. She also wears light grey high heels underneath the dress. She looks stunning!

“Do you think it is okay?” She asks.

I laugh, “Of course, it looks amazing.”

“What about me?”

“Amazing.” With that said we both walk out the door and to Alicia’s car, the boys were meeting us at Luke’s.

Lauren’s POV

I have never been so excited; Luke’s party is going to be amazing! I don’t have to worry about school or revision or tests, it is amazing!

Looking at the clock, I know I only have five minutes before I need to go to Luke’s. Looking down at my dark blue lace dress, I find myself smiling. The bodice of the dress has got little jewels on and is tight, fitting me perfectly. The dark blue material of the dress flows to the top of my knee – the perfect length. As you may have noticed this is my favourite dress. My straight hair flows down my back and way past my shoulders. The make-up I am wearing consists of lip gloss.  I don’t need to put much make up on as my face is spot free. I am wearing my silver sandals (high heels) which have diamonds on the front and grab my silver clutch bag. Luke’s house isn’t far away so I walk – just around the corner.

Luke’s five bedroomed house comes into view and already I hear music. Knocking on the PVC double doors, I hear a, “Come in.”

“Hey Luke.” I say

“Hey. So grab yourself a drink –whatever you want  - from in the kitchen. Tasha is upstairs if you want to go to her, nobody else is here yet. I am just moving this furniture so the speakers can go here, rather than there.” He points to the corner of the room.

“Okay.” I smile. Walking into to his glossy new kitchen, I look at the arrangement of drinks. I do drink but have never been drunk before – I certainly don’t want to start tonight. Grabbing myself a lemonade, I go upstairs to find Tasha.

“Tasha!”

“In here.” I hear Tasha shout. I walk into what seems like a spare bedroom and to where Tasha is standing in her gorgous pink (just above the knee) A line dress and silver heels. She looks amazing! “I couldn’t bring myself to come down, do I look okay?” Her bright blue eyes look doubting at me.

“Are you kidding?” I exclaim with a left to right hand gesture.  “You look amazing.”

I can’t believe she thinks that, “Now come on, everybody else will be here in a minute.” She grins, coming out of the spotless room with me.

 A few minutes later, we walk down the steps. I am so nervous, what if he doesn't like what I am wearing. Well, I'll find out soon. Taking the final step towards Luke I breathe in. “Hi.” I say, walking over to him, I look at him apologetically. “Sorry I took so long, I was a bit nervous in coming down because I thought that it didn’t look good and …” Suddenly, he puts his lips against mine cutting me off, I am startled at first but soon I respond with as much force as him. H  pulls away first, and looks at me, “You should never think that you don’t look good. You look beautiful.” I smile and so does he. Oops. I notice Lauren a bit further behind me looking at her feet and look over to her. “Sorry for making you feel a bit awkward."  Lauren laughs her nervous laugh. “It’s okay.”
