Third Person:
"I'm kind of lost.. I was supposed to be meeting someone, but they never showed up and I was hoping, I could stay here for a bit.."
The words, which left the boy's mouth, made Narae raise her eyebrows at his ridiculousness and her attention turned to her parents, but what shocked her the most was that they nodded.
"Since you're a friend of my daughter, I guess yo-"
"He's not, I don't know him!" Narae had exclaimed loudly, cutting off her parents, who then gave her a look and Donghyuck let a smug smile spread across his face as he in amusement, looked at the confused girl.
"What will Haneul think, when he finds out, I'm letting a boy my age, live in my house?" The unfamiliar name made Donghyuck furrow his eyebrows, until he realized that she was in a relationship, not like he cared anyways.
He just needed a place to stay at and the girl, Narae, seemed to spark his interest, even if he didn't want to admit it.
Even though she was interesting, her love life wasn't something he wanted to be a part of.
"He will, as the good boyfriend he probably is, understand that what you did was help another person." The shock on her face just got clearer at those words, making Donghyuck grin.
Narae hadn't felt such confusion in a long time and she narrowed her eyes at him.
She may had told her name, heck she didn't even remember telling him that, but there was no way, she had told him about her boyfriend and the question had to be asked.
"How do you know I have a boyfriend?" Her eyes squinted, she studied him for a few moments, before he cleared his throat and she snapped back to reality.
"Who else would get the wrong idea, if a boy stays at a girl's house? Maybe a brother, but after what I know, you're an only child." Were the words which left Donghyuck and the poor girl seemed so confused, it looked like she could explode at anytime.
The power of being able to get information out of a person, just by looking into their eyes, wasn't taken away and Donghyuck used it against Narae, with a feeling of amusement.
"No more questions, Narae! Maybe he is an old friend, you don't remember or something, but now he's our guest, until he gets picked up by someone from his family!" Narae found this situation a bit unfair, because how could he be an old friend when he earlier had introduced himself?
Donghyuck smiled at his success as the parents guided him into the living room and shooed Narae back into the kitchen, to finish the dishes. She did it without further complains, at least not loud complains, as she did mumble a few curses under her breath as she was finishing the last dishes and a humble chuckle could be heard, echoing in the small kitchen.
"With that potty mouth of yours, a place in heaven, won't be for you." This made Narae roll her eyes and she turned to him, looking at him with sharp eyes.
"Not like you're destined to live the rest of your days up in heaven." She spat back, making the boy let a chuckle leave his mouth once again and he shook his head slightly, holding himself back from throwing a sassy remark back once again.
If only she knew.
"You never know, miracles do happen." Those words left him as he took a couple steps towards her and grabbed the dry and cleaned dishes.
"What are you doing?" It was clear to her what he was doing, she just didn't want him to help, didn't want to befriend him, because she honestly found him odd.
"You have eyes, isn't it clear, what I'm doing?" He had dropped his nice attitude as he got a bit annoyed at her, still it didn't stop the spark of interest he found in her, she reminded him of Dasom.
"You don't even know where they a-" She stopped talking as Donghyuck opened the cabinet for plates and he turned to her to send a cocky smirk in her direction, making the girl scoff.
"So, that Haneul guy.. How long have you been with him?" As soon as the name was mentioned, her cheeks turned pink and a small smile found its way onto her face.
"We've been together fo- Why am I even telling you that? Why are you even interested?" The attitude was back, making the boy rub his face as a small sigh escaped his lips.
"Is it bad, I want to know you?" He knew he could use the trick with looking into her eyes, but it was more entertaining to talk to her and he, himself, didn't even know why, it just was.
A few mumbles, he didn't quite get, left her mouth, before she turned off the water and turned to him.
"Are you really interested in my boyfriend?" Donghyuck nodded.
Or rather than that, he was more interested in knowing what love felt like since he wasn't sure, if he had felt the right feelings, weeks back, when he lost his 'job' for the girl, who he couldn't even find.
Feeling love, before meeting Dasom, he didn't remember.
"We've been together for a year and four months." The boy nodded, waiting for her to tell him something else, but she didn't continue as he had hoped, so another question slipped from his lips, this time it was an odd question, at least in Narae's eyes.
"How does it feel like to love someone?"
"Pardon me?" They weren't even standing in the kitchen anymore, they had somehow managed to walk to the living room and sit down, without Narae noticing.
When talking to the boy, it was like time was flying, it was weird.
"You heard me." Donghyuck wasn't going to repeat the question and Narae, who was still weirded out by the question, nodded.
"I think it's different from person to person, but for me, it's like flying. When in love, everything about the person seems to be interesting, at least it's like that for me. Even after all those months, I still get nervous around him, that's not something I'll admit around him though." She explained it carefully, while Donghyuck let every single word sink in, he only got more certain he was in love with the girl, who he had to find.
Even after opening up like that, she still felt like something was off about the boy and she was determined to find out what that was.
What made that boy so different from others?
