Donghyuck's POV:

I hadn't expected that I could make Narae's life worse, but here I was once again, hurting my best friend because of some stupid thing I did trying to make up for my actions the day before.

Knowing that Haneul had a twin sister, my oh-so-smart mind came up with the idea of talking to Gayeon, but my plan, which I thought was perfect, apparently wasn't.

"Are you okay?" The girl, who just stepped into the kitchen, moved her shoulder up slightly, no words leaving her, and that was when I agreed with myself that I should help her get back with that idiot of a boy.

At the silence a small sigh slipped from my lips, and without another word I used the strength in my arms to lift myself up from the chair to head towards the twins' house.

"Where are you going?" When she finally said a word she just had to ask that and instead of answering, I only grinned at her crookedly, only making her head drop as she poured herself some milk.

"I'm going to fix everything." My words were quiet enough for her not to hear, and I was quick to leave the kitchen.

How I knew where the twins lived was not to be questioned, I just knew, and I prayed that this visit would fix everything, it seemed to do the exact opposite though.

The house was about ten minutes away from Narae's, five if I sprinted, which I did, and while I was standing by the front door, I started memorizing all the things I wanted to say, I also prayed that Haneul wouldn't be the one to open the door.

It took me good two minutes to finally get myself to knock on the door and my prayers had been fulfilled as the girl appeared when the door was opened.

Not even one word had to leave the girl for me to realize how stunned she was to see me, her perplexed look gave it away, and a crooked grin tugged at my lips.

"Can I talk to you?" As if she was contemplating whether or not she was going to let me step inside their house, she sucked at her teeth, and after what seemed like hours, exaggerating furthers understanding, she finally nodded, stepping aside to allow me into their home.

The door got shut right after I had stepped inside, and after the awkward moments with the world's most awkward tension ever, I finally managed to croak out;

"You probably know what happened between the two, right?"

"Right." Just by her standing with a complete emotionless face and with crossed arms made me slightly nervous, and I started explaining what I've memorized.

"I just want you to know how sad and depressed your best friend is right now, maybe you could talk to Haneul?" Gayeon kept nodding throughout what I was saying, and what she had to say next stunned me just a tiny bit;

"I was actually planning on talking to Narae today." Why she wanted to talk to her was still unknown for me and without the intention of doing so, my eyebrows rose.

"Ah, really?"

"Yeah, I honestly think that she owes my brother an apology." I almost choked on my own spit at that.

I wanted to laugh directly in her face at those absolutely ridiculous words and she seemed to notice as it was her turn to raise her eyebrows.

After a small 'what?' left me she only rolled her eyes leaving me slightly offended as I was seeing another side of her and the girl continued talking.

"I mean, you kind of do too, but he isn't home right now, and Narae was the one to hang out with you so much, you even live in her house." By the end of that I had my mouth hanging open a little bit, and I was doing everything I possibly could to not burst out laughing and beat the crap out of her, but then again..

.. You couldn't hit girls, no matter how bad that girl had treated your best friend, you couldn't hit girls, and instead I only let this question leave me;

"Are you joking right now?"

A small laugh left her, but it wasn't one showing happiness, more like annoyance, and a frown started tugging at my lips at her odd behavior.

"Why should I be? She's my best friend and all, but she hurt my brother." I wanted to leave right there, but my pride and my protecting side appeared.

"And that excuse of a brother hurt my best friend." The girl looked offended for a good five seconds which I honestly found amusing and I was almost proud of my words when she then exclaimed;

"You're trying to take my place too? Fine, do that."

My hand came in contact with my face as a laugh of frustration left me, and being in a situation like this, my mouth had no filter.

"Are you serious? Jealousy really runs in the family." Oh, if looks could kill, the probably deadliest glare in the word was sent in my direction.

"Please leave my house." Before I turned around to actually leave, I gave her the sickliest, crooked smile I probably could before then, without thinking about the consequences, nicely told her;

"Please leave my best friend's life."

"Fine."

"Nice."

That was basically how the conversation ended, with me bolting home not knowing what damage I had done before I walked into the living room to see my best friend curled up in a ball and crying harder than the last few days.

Of course I didn't expect that it was something I had done, but then she asked this question;

"Donghyuck, what did you do?"

That, of course, left me quite confused as I didn't know what I actually had done, and when I questioned her why she thought I had done something, her head only shook from side to side.

"Gayeon blocked my number.. Why won't she talk to me?" That was when I knew that I once again had messed up, and my face immediately dropped as I mentally scolded myself for having such a bad temper.

"I'm so sorry, she wanted you to apologize to Haneul first, and I got defensive.." Normally I wouldn't act like I did, but for some reason it was so different with this girl and I couldn't tolerate anyone even looking at her badly.

"So, it's your fault?" At that my head moved from side to side, apologies leaving my mouth as if it was the only thing I was able to say.

"I don't know what to do anymore.." At that the frown already lingering on my face turned bigger, and just as she stood up to leave the living room, I was quick to exclaim;

"Listen Narae, I'm going to fix this, trust me."

You wanna know how our conversation ended before Narae's left the living room?

Here's how;

"How? By using some of your magic powers?"

"That's actually not a bad idea.."
