Tasia LeeI groan as I roll out of bed and rub my eyes, lips slightly pouted and hair messed up majorly. It's always the same thing, yesterday, today and would be tomorrow. I looked outside the cracked window that threatens to shatter any moment, all I saw was darkness and a couple of cars flipped. Blood followed by bodies that are half dead.
I make my way downstairs and make myself a simple breakfast including toast and some cooked eggs, I drank about two glasses of water and then I head upstairs to get myself cleaned up.
I stay under the shower for a minute just thinking about the previous nights, my parents died on the first night when the zombie apocalypse occurred, they were at the store buying a gift for my seventeen-year-old brother who left as soon as he heard the news.
I quickly scrub my body and brush my teeth and get dressed in twenty minutes. I grab my jacket seeing as it's windy outside and head to the forbidden room. My hands wander across the shelves with potions that aren't classified, my eyes fall down to the desk with multiple writings and drawings; theories for a better future. I reach down to the cupboard and pull out a gun that's a little worn out, not much but it'll do. I tuck the gun between my shirt and pants before leaving.
I speed down the roads that are slightly deformed after the numerous amount of explosions. I sigh heavily, slightly done from all the events that came crashing down and rub the half of my face and I speed up higher. It's all because of a stupid experiment, instead of animal testing, they decided to try it with humans. I'm not saying animal testing is right but at least I wouldn't have to deal with all this chaos. I quickly check my phone to check the location I had to reach in less than three and a half minutes. I stopped in front of a field which had barriers around it thirty-five feet tall.
My eyes flicked to the phone which held the password and quickly typed it in the small keypad that was engraved on the dirty wall. I sped in and left my car outside the building. I pray that whatever I do, I hope it does good. I get welcomed by screams and laughter alongside with wailing. That's a very weird combination, I look towards the left and see a cafeteria with people around my age. "Welcome ma'am, may I have your name, age, and specialty?" a voice startled me, I whipped my head to see a guy with dirty blonde hair, he probably looked around his twenties. "You should practice pick up lines more often." I look at him weirdly. He rolled his eyes and sighed "I am most certainly not hitting on you." I suck on my teeth and look at him awkwardly.
"Tasia, 19 and what do you mean by specialty?" I queried. "Well are you good at handling knives or do you require guns at your service all the time?" He replied resting the edge of his clipboard on his stomach and his left hand holding the top as his right hand draped over, loosely holding a pen.
"I am not quite sure but I sure as hell can shoot." I didn't hesitate to add a little smirk at the end. "How about I lead you to the gym room and you can get started there?" He offered. I politely nodded and clasped hands together as I followed him through the depressingly white hallways. I knew I entered the gym once I got a whiff of sweat, sounds of punching a bag followed by grunts and rattling of chains filled the room.
"Alright everyone, we will start off with basic training and work our way up." A voice bounced off the walls. "I hope the room is even otherwise one of you would have to end up with that guy." The trainer jabbed his thumb in the right direction, revealing tall, extremely buff man. Tattoos were sprawled across his face along with an intimidating expression. Out of all the factors of successfully shitting my pants, one in particular stood out. Three long scars that ran from his forehead to the bottom of his eye. Audible gulps were in unison and then our attention was shifted back to the trainer. "Let's begin" a sinister smile played on his lips.

"That was so tiring." A guy who I reckon was called 'Dominick' breathed out. "It has just been three hours." I stated. I sat on the bench and tighten the laces of my boots that are slightly worn out. "You've been through worse?" He asked me as he stopped stretching. "I cleaned my room" I shrugged and turned my attention far away from him. I changed into shorts and a shirt, then put my hair into a ponytail and headed to my assigned dorm, before I could head upstairs a feminine voice boomed through the speakers "Attention to all who have joined today, we have a short assembly to attend in room 30C. Thank you." I look around to figure out where I should go just to get shoulders to collide mine, well at least I know where to go.
Everyone took their seat, looking tired as ever. The woman seemed very welcoming with her hair tied into a braid, wearing a pantsuit, she looked like she was maybe in her late 30's."After successfully putting up the fence around the state, so far we haven't received any notices of deaths outside the state or any zombies that have been able to escape." She trails off. I feel my eyes getting droopy and heavy as I slowly lose consciousness. "Tomorrow you shall have the 'Draining Test', now I know it doesn't sound pleasant but for it's mandatory. Other than that, have a great night, the time slot assigned to you is about five-thirty am." She gives a firm nod and leaves shortly. We all start moving back upstairs and enter our dorm room. I was too tired to the take in my surroundings, I crash on the bed and start snoring lightly.
