Tasia Lee

I try to reach the passkey that was engraved into the wall that I had previously encountered by extending my arm in between the grill of the gate. "I c-can't reach it." I let out a huge breath I was holding in. "Okay, I have T-rex arms, someone else do it." I sighed, not even three minutes ago, I had convinced everyone that I was the best at tasks so they should lay off, clearly however, that wasn't the case. "Well, I'm not doing it." Cj exhales harshly through his nose as he folds his arms and proceeds to turn his torso away from me while scooting away.

I turn my gaze to Nick just to not really surprise myself with the she-Shaun tucked underneath Nick's left arm as his right caresses his fur, sighing, I turn my gaze to Maddy. "No!" She exasperated. "I didn't even say anything!" I defended myself, in return, she just gave me her oh-so-infamous glare. A strong wave of cologne hit my nose as an arm wraps around my shoulders, "Princess, you could've just asked." Hunter smirks.

In a swift movement, I turn my shoulders and grab his forearm, twisting it behind his back as I knee his lower back. He falls on the ground with a soft 'thud' as I fall on his back with my hair sprawled all over his face. "Tasia, calm down" His husky, velvety voice clear as crystal. "No, you." I straighten my back as I pull my hair up into a somewhat neat bun because messy buns are overrated.

He shuffles between my inner thighs until he comes to an eye level with my own. "Why won't you like me?" He huffs and props himself on his elbows. "Because devils were never meant to have feelings in the first place." I answer without hesitating. I grinned like a Cheshire cat and tilted my head to the right as he mimicked as moves but tilts to the left, "Hey, uhm, some of us want to leave this place so do you mind?" Matt hollered from Maddy's side as she winced from the sudden noise level change.

A high-pitched noise beeped thrice followed by something that sounded like rustling of metal bars, our heads snapped towards the noise as excitement rushed through my body giving out sparks. The gate opens halfway before getting stuck in the middle but just enough of room for two people to pass by at once, a really excited Hunter scrambles onto his feet leaving me to tumble back down to the floor and runs towards the gate. "A serious gentleman, Hunter!" I yell but not too loudly.

I get back up and dust off the dead grass that was stuck to my pyjama pants and proceeded to run where Hunter had gone. Nick, still holding Shaun had successfully unlocked the door using a...chopstick? I might get back on that later. The seven of us piled outside the gate, I was swarmed by a wave full of chills, fully aware that we had no protection whatsoever.

"Tas-" I let out a huge scream that cut Hunter off, he pulled me close by my waist and wrapped his hand around my lips, too afraid to say anything, he decided to drag my unresponsive body behind a tree that happened to be located nearby. "What the hell was that Tasia?" confusion and worry was laced with his words as his eyebrows furrowed. He had his hands on either side of my face, a little too far for my liking. I put my palm on one of his hands and lightly laugh, "Nothing, Hunter, maybe the fact we don't have any weapons? I don't really want to cry and freak out about this but it's just that I don't want to die without being known for something great and it's just not th-" I stop mid-sentence with my eyes wide open. Hunter had rested his lips on my temple for three seconds before engulfing me into a hug, he was quite taller than me so his jaw easily rested above my head, we stayed like that; swaying side to side lightly for a few seconds before he broke the ice.

"Calm down okay? We aren't without complete protection okay?" he tries to calm me down after pulling away from our little physical encounter, few seconds into just boring into each other's eyes we look away. "Hey uhm, you guys together, very cute and all but can I just say that; the little stunt you pulled Tasia? yeah there are guards outside with flashlights so we have to make a run for it." Maddy jabs her thumb to her right, indicating we should probably head that way. Hunter grabs me by my arm and sprints to where the guards wouldn't catch a glimpse of us.

After what seemed like minutes we ended up in front of a broken diner, it looked like a mess, but again, this whole city does. The main door was shattered and hung by three surviving nails to the wall, the wooden chairs and tables had fallen over, just a few were broken, lights didn't work at all but that wasn't a problem; least distraction the better.

"Okay we have had fun now let's go back" Nick starts tugging on my shirt. "Why? you want to go back to writing your little love poems to Gabriella?" Matthew smirked as he leans his body on a nearby shelf, hands deep in his pockets and his left leg propped on the wall. "N-No" Nick starts turning red, "And it's Brianna" he mutters looking at the floor, twisting the bottom of his shoe into the ground. I just look at both of them in pure disbelief.

Hunter and Cj were kind enough to set up a place to sit while we were having a little...discussion. We sat on the chairs and piled our jackets on a spare seat since the chill was too pleasing. "I can't believe we came out of the camp, everything looks so different now" Cj spoke as he fumbled with his necklace. "Yeah, the camp isn't even that secure. It was a little too easy to get out don't you think?" Maddy rhetorically asks, "But then again, Maddy, no one in their right mind would want to leave the camp by choice, it's much safer there than out here, without a doubt." I gave her a pointed look.

We enjoyed the silence by just being around each other, Cj and Matthew were talking about their plan tomorrow, Maddy was listening to Nick ranting on about how Shaun doesn't deserve being here, whereas I? I was currently staring into Hunter's eyes and see how they shine up when he talks about something, what was he talking about? no clue, his mouth was moving but I couldn't hear anything, being too focused on his expressions.

His eyes suddenly snap to something behind me as worry starts to bloom through his fa-"Tasia did you hear that?" his voice snaps me back into reality. "No, sorry what happened?" I ask with curiousity, not wanting to assume the worst...yet. "It sounded like a-" Nick gets cut off by a disgusting growl that was a little faint, our heads whip towards the direction as we start backing away a little.

"Throw Shaun at it."

"Matt!" we yelled.
