In summer I went to the JRNYLC. It was required I do something creative to show what leadership means to me. And so, this poem was written.
Leadership can mean a lot of things.
And a lot it can bring.
This is leadership to me.
You help others succeed.
Have character.
Don't be an impersonator.
Just be you.
Do what you do.
Be good to others.
Don't treat them like they're dirt.
Be able to be mature.
Be able to endure.
There will be pressure.
Be fierce like a tiger.
But gentle like a butterfly.
Don't give up on the hardest times.
And be part of the team.
This leadership to me.
