Who are we supposed to be?

43 1 1

One day during the Georgia Milestones in 7th grade, our "teacher" wanted us to write a poem using 10 math words. Only 8th grade was actually testing that day, so we had nothing to do.

Who are we supposed to be?
One variable, that is me.
Life is so complicated.
It's just one big equation.
Some people are addition, increasing life.
And some are subtraction, killing people as they walk by.
Negatives kill everything, being the worse.
But positives are there to save the earth.
Life has good and bad, being a slope.
You really could be both.
Don't think I'm done yet.
Some are multipliers, bringing together, it.
Others are dividers, trying to separate you.
Just know your life has at least a little bit value.
