Dear Band Seniors

I just got back from playing at a ceremony for the seniors and now I'm sad because I'm going to miss the band seniors.

You're graduating.
Time for you to spread your wings and start soaring.
Some of you were friends.
Others aren't, not even in the end.
I wish I talked to you more.
Before you got out the door.
Now it won't be the same.
Oh, this is such a shame.
Please promise you'll visit.
Or I won't get through this.
Even the ones I didn't talk to.
It'll be weird here without you.
You're going to a better place.
Make the world better with your space.
Just don't forget where you're from.
Even if you're time here is done.
Thank you for being in band.
Giving it a helping hand.
I regret not being social earlier.
And now college is our barrier.
But we'll see each other again.
It's just that your journey's began.
I'll miss you till the day I die.
So for now, goodbye.
