Two months of the entitled "Warlock hunt" campaign had past, the Empire's forces reduced to states of low morale, heavy losses and casualties yet the Mages, soldiers and even the Empress herself remained hopeful. The secret Imperial Warlock however unshaken by the chaos peered over the battlefield before the Empress walked up to him, first looking at his hooded face then at the land before them.
"The Warlock/Mage war was costly to all people, this stalemate wasn't going to last and now my father says if I can't live up to the family name, then I am forced to marry a nobleman's son to remain on the throne." she sighed upon speaking with a slight hint of frustration in her voice.
"Better to know those whom love you, then never at all." the Warlock responded with his distinct monotone voice as his gaze fixed and arms folded before continuing, "All I know is I was part of a Noble dynasty, which one though I know not." with the silence falling between the two with the cool breeze of the battlefield being the only sound.
The next major battle was for Darnwind harbour the already battered Imperial forces launched a full scale assault against entrenched Brotherhood forces as siege cannons and muskets filled the air with gunpowder residue, the clashing of swords and armour whilst Mages stood afar providing the main contributes of the assault.
"What would you have me do your highness." the Warlock asked as he bowed his head raising after receiving a nod from her before talking to him.
"My Magi advisers claim to sense a highly powerful Dreddmaster level Warlock, you are to divert his attention from the battle. Do not try to take on him alone though." to which the Warlock simply bowed his head again before heading off to the battle.
Deep within the coastal mountain city, the battle echoed all round making it near impossible to hear. As the Warlock entered the grand hall met by the sight of an impaled Jarl with his eyes, tongue and heart ripped out followed by turning his gaze to the Throne where the Dreddmaster sat as he spoke with a sadistic cheery tone.
"Ah the joy of conquering, Darnwind is only the start. Soon this whole Empire will bow to our power!" raising his arms like a messiah, sadly to his own basking rejoice the Warlock uttered a single word with his voice not changing but showing a sign of unamusement.
"Yawn."
The Dreddmaster angered by the Warlock's single dull word reply commanded his soldiers to silence him as if the floodgates had been opened, swords and muskets prepared to strike regardless of his situation the Warlock merely turned his gaze around him sighing as he lowers his hood. "My gripe isn't with you lot, just your master." and with a wave of his hand blasted the soldiers surrounding him towards the grand halls walls with a howling wind.
"Impressive, what a prize to harness your power once I've destroyed you." the Dreddmaster cackled drawing a Soulblade hilt making the Warlock's eyes fix on it shaking his head.
"That blade will serve me better then you, as for your power. It shall be vanquished."
As the Dreddmaster charged forward towards him slashing the Soulblade like a rabid beast, the attacks were met with Dark green lightning sparks making him unable to land a strike.
"Why... why can't I beat a pest like you?" the Dreddmaster finally said exhausted from combat fatigue as the Warlock slowly paced towards him with a Dark Green glow in his eyes sparking lightning with smog around him.
"It is simple, power made you weak. Now witness your fate." lashing both his hands forwards encasing the Dreddmaster into a smoggy storm with only the cries of pain, agony and torment escaping as the storm grew smaller and smaller before it faded into nothing.
