chapter 2 - new opportunities

You come to know that this man you have just met goes by the name of sebastian and is the loyal butler of the notorious queens guard dog, ciel phantomhive. He tells you that he is gathering information for his young master and invites you to his masters holiday mansion in London.

As you arrive you can help but gasp as sebastian helps you from the horse carriage.~ this is a holiday home. My my. . . His estate must be . . . I dread to think how big or the cost of his estate~ sebastian leads you into the house and then to the study where his master awaits. You feel a nervous twinge in your chest ~ why am I anxious. This is not like me at all~ sebastian knocks and from the other side you here a young boys voice granting entry. You pause ~ I knew he was young but he doesn't sound like he's even reached puberty. He must be early teens. *your face twists in confusion * does he really own all this.~  as the door opens your eyes fall apon the young master sitting with piles of paper work on his desk. Then it hit you who he was, you knew his mother and his aunt well. Then you felt a pain on your chest as you recall the tragic events that took place and a single tear fell from your eyes. Concerned sebastian asks "what the matter my lady, you seem troubled. Please excuse my hand" as he gently wipes the tear from your face with a tissue. "Thank you, I . . ." You pause trying to gather your thoughts. " I'm not sure what came over me". Ciel snaps " will you come in already, your letting an awful draft in" you jump a little and hurry in as sebastian closes the door.

Sebastian pulls a chair and puts out a hand to help you sit. Ciel introduced himself and his situation and waits for you to introduce yourself. " I am (Y/N) my lord. I work along side the police and private investigators to solve serial murders. I'm also a fully trained pathologist" ciel looks at you puzzled "they allowed a lady to study such morbid things? I guess times are changing and it's some what refreshing. So . . ." He paused as he thought. " how about you work for me... part time solving the cases that the Queen her self wants sorted " you gasp " the queen herself ?!? My that's a big offer my lord. I am easily pleased as long as I can do what I love most" ceil smiled " I'll send sebastian with you to gather your belongings and we shall return to the phantomhive estate this evening "
You pause " this evening? Oh my so soon. What about this case?" Ciel looks at you and answers " when something new happens with the case it's not too far to get back to London. Sebastian knows a short cut" he gives a sinister smerk as he looks at his demon butler.

You smile politely back " well I guess we can make it work. Thank you my lord for a fantastic opportunity " you Stand and courtesy like a lady an bow your head at the same time.
