"Little Spock! Are you ready?"

"Please do not call me 'Little Spock,' sir."

"Why?" Kirk asked, grinning. "It fits."

Rev turned to him, and gave him a look. Kirk chuckled.

"Annoyance is an emotion, is it not?"

"I am half human, Captain, I am allowed my annoyance."

It was three weeks later, and the ENTERPRISE was approaching Starfleet. Captain Kirk would beam aboard with Rev to meet Admiral Provost, who would be stationing Rev to a starship.

During the three weeks, Rev had gotten to know the crew of the ENTERPRISE, and she became a friendly face around the ship. She often would pop into any department and help them with their problems, and she usually came up with an easy solution. Because of this, and because the Captain rarely found out she'd helped them, the ENTERPRISE's officers would be sad to see the Vulcan go. Even though she was usually completely emotionless, she was easy to talk to, and had somehow become something like the crew's therapist; many of the crew members came to her with problems, and she'd give them logical answers to them, or tell them their love problems were completely idiotic, and that love was illogical in the first place. But she'd help them. And they loved her for that.

During her free time, which was most of the time, since she didn't actually work on the ENTERPRISE, just took the conn every now and then, Rev spent most of her time in a rec room, either reading a book, slides about the ship, or playing 3D chess with any available player, though that was rarely fun since she never lost.

Rev, though greatly subdued, had definite emotions. She half-smiled, and chuckled (though rarely laughed). Anger and sadness and other such emotions didn't come naturally to her. She was unnaturally calm in normally angering situations, she never cried or looked put out. Vague amusement seemed to be her one emotion.

"I am ready Captain."

No one was saying goodbye yet, since she had to return after her meeting to collect her stuff, but the mood aboard the ship was quiet and sad, because they knew she'd be leaving soon.

"We are approaching Starfleet Headquarters, Captain," Sulu announced to the bridge, and Kirk nodded.

"Good. Spock, please man the bridge as I escort Miss Rev."

"Yes, Captain."

Kirk and Rev stood by the lift doors. Kirk wore his usual yellow-badged formal uniform. Rev wore a stiff, high-necked black uniform shirt and a black ironed skirt. Her shoes were shiny black boots, and her hair was down.

"Ready?"

The Vulcan nodded, before turning and following Kirk into the elevator.

When she needed to, despite her usual vague amusement, Rev was the most unemotional, in-control Vulcan Kirk had ever seen. This was one of those moments.

"Alright, Scotty, beam us down."

"Yes, sir."

"Energize."

Rev looked one more time around the transport room, before it disappeared. For a fleeting second, she felt all the molecules in her body break apart. It didn't hurt, at all, it was just nauseating the first few times, before one got used to it. She was used to it now, but the concept still fascinated her.

In a moment, the transport room at Starfleet Headquarters appeared in front of her, and she glanced at Kirk next to her. He was watching her with pride, as if he raised her and was watching her go to college.
