45. A week later

No One's POV

It's been a week since Klaus turned into a wolf and now Klaus and Caroline seemed to be adjusting to being just friends.

Caroline started to talk more with Brad and Niklaus realized that, in order to keep Caroline in his life, he had to be selfless for once. Klaus needed to put Caroline's happiness in first place, even if her happiness was destroying him. Klaus hated to see Caroline with Brad or hearing about him but he faked that was alright with him to not lose her. Klaus drain a few people just to be able to seem calm in front of her and to avoid fighting with her because all of this made him angry and jealous and if he showed it, he knew he could lose her and he didn't wanted to take that chance.

Klaus's POV

I was in the living room, drinking some bourbon when Caroline appeared stunning with a blue dress.

"Love, you look... incredible." I said but that word wasn't enough.

She looked like an angel. She is so perfect...

"Thanks." She said with a blush, making me smirk.

Good to know that I still have some effect on her...

"May I know where you going?"

"I'm gonna to a restaurant with Brad." She said and I just nodded. "It's our first date... and I'm kinda nervous."

"Why?"

"Because I don't go on dates in a long time. Besides, what if he doesn't like me?"

"Then he is crazy because no one can not like you. You are the most amazing woman I ever met." I said and she smiled and blushed.

"You're being exaggerated." She said.

"No, I'm not. You are more amazing than you give yourself credit for." I said and she smiled.

We just stayed there, looking into each other's eyes and I couldn't help myself and look at his lips, then she did the same, and I couldn't help but smile. I was about to kiss her when someone knock on the door.

"That must be Brad." She said in a whisper and walked over to the door.

Caroline's POV

Once Brad knock on the door, it was like I went back to reality. Of course I still love Nik and I'm not over him, but I have to move on and Brad is helping me out with that.

Brad took me to a nice restaurant and after that we went to a walk, we talked for hours and the night ended by him escorting me back home.

"Thank you. I loved the restaurant, the walk, the company... everything was perfect." I said with a smile.

"Can I presume that we will do this again?" He asked

"Yes." I said with a smile.

"Good..." he said with a smile.

"Well, I guess I better get in." I said with a smile and when I turned to open the door, he grabbed my wrist.

"Goodnight, Caroline." He said and kissed me softly. "Talk to you tomorrow."

He went to his car without waiting for my response and I got home, when I step inside, I saw Niklaus drinking his bourbon.

"Nik? Is everything okay? Why are you still up?"

"I couldn't sleep." He said and looked at me. "How was your night?"

"Good." I said and seat in the couch next to him. "But you didn't answer me. Is everything okay? You're not the kind of guy who stays up drinking in the living room just to pass time, usually when you can't sleep you go to your studio..."

"Don't worry with me. I'm fine." He said.

"Okay... what do you think about me getting into some more comfortable clothes and we watch some movies until morning, like we used to do?" I asked with a smile.

"Seems like a great idea, love." He said with a smirk and I vamp speed to my room.

Klaus's POV

I decided to make some popcorns and took to the living room some blood bags B+ (her favorite) and O- (my favorite).

I was taking the popcorn to the living room, when I see Caroline with a ponytail, some leggings and a top, she was without makeup and that made her be even more beautiful. I honestly don't understand why she's always buying some of that stuff, she doesn't need it.

"Did you already pick?" She asked.

"No, I thought you would like to pick the first movie."

"What a gentleman!" She said with a smile and pick one of her favorite movies from the 80's, The Breakfast Club.

After that, we saw a couple of other more, some of action, others of comedy and now we were watching a horror movie.

"No! Don't... oh my God!" She said and quickly covered her face in my chest.

"Love, we already saw this movie. You know what happens."

"Yeah but I don't remember it." She said still with her face covered in my chest.

"Don't worry, love. I won't let anyone hurt you." I said and kissed the top of her head.

"I know..." she said, looking up at me with a smile and then we got back to watch the movie.
