SEI's POV
Lumipas ang ilang araw nang di ko namamalayan. For the past few days wala akong ginawa kung 'di ang magjogging. I don't know why bigla na lang akong nahilig magjog. Siguro dahil nawawala ang stress ko. Hindi ko naiisip yung mga bagay na hindi ko dapat iniisip.
Sa nakalipas na araw pinlano ng mga magulang ko ang kanilang short honeymoon trip sa Balesin. They wanted me to come with them, but I said no. Una, dahil it's their own time. Honeymoon nila iyon, so bakit sasama pa ako? Pangalawa, walang mag-aalaga sa makulit kong Lolo.
"Lo, you sure you don't want to come with them?" I asked my gramps who's busy with his new phone.
He gave me a quizzical look before putting his phone inside his pocket. "I got things to do, Seichelle." He said before giving my parents a hug.
Umihip ang malamig na hangin dahilan para tangayin ang sun hat ni mommy. Mabuti na lang at mabilis na nakuha ni daddy ito at muling sinuot kay mommy.
I smiled.
They're too perfect. I wish to have that kind of relationship too. Na kahit ilang taon na kaming kasal, we will still remain sweet like a lost teenager in a bliss of love.
"Princess, just text us everyday okay?" Mom said. I nodded then she gave me a tight hug.
"You guys take care. I love you both." I mumbled softly.
Lumapit sa akin si daddy para halikan ang forehead ko. "We'll miss you princess."
Matapos ay lumapit ang isang lalaki na may suot ng uniform na hawig sa isang piloto. "The plane is ready Sir."
Pinanood namin ni Lolo Thomas sina mommy at daddy na sumakay sa isang private plane.
"Let's go, Seichelle." Ani Lolo nang dumating ang sasakyan namin.
"Wala ka bang balak magbakasyon?" Tanong pa niya ng makasakay kami. Umiling ako. "You want to go to South Korea? Your favorite group is having their final concert before one of their member enlists."
Napangiti ako. Ibang klase talaga 'tong Lolo ko.
"I want to Lolo. But I need to stay beside you lalo na't wala sina mommy." I answered.
"This old man doesn't need help, apo. So don't think about me. If you want I can ask one of our pilots to fly you to Seoul this evening." Saad pa niya. "And I can ask someone to give you a backstage pass. Or do you want me to have them meet you?"
Napailing ako habang natatawa.
"Lolo, ewan ko ba kung bakit feeling ko tinataboy niyo ako. Your suggestions are very inviting kaso mas mahalaga kayo sakin. And besides I need to do some advance studies para next semester. So don't try to push your luck okay? I've made up my mind."
"I wonder why I have a stubborn grandchild like you?" He asked disbelieving.
Natawa ako. "Because I have a stubborn gramp like you."
Natawa na lang si Lolo sa akin. Then I heard his phone ringing from his pocket.
"Lo, your phone is ringing." I said.
Tiningnan niya kung sino ang caller, pero mabilis din naman niyang binalik sa kanyang bulsa ang phone.
"Baka importante 'yan Lo." Pag-aalala ko. Knowing how strict and serious my gramp is when it comes to business. And it is very unusual of him to ignore phone calls. And to think na hindi lahat may alam ng number niya. Only the highest positions have access to his phone.
Nag ring ulit ang phone. And I notice how my gramp's face turned to grim.
Mabuti na lang at nakarating na kami sa bahay.
