Danny's POV
The doctors and nurses rushed in and attempted to save her. They told me that I had to leave while they were in here otherwise I would get in their way, I tryed to stay but the forced me to get out. I sat in the waiting room nervously waiting for them to tell me if she lived or not. After five minutes I was starting to get really worried and I started to pace the floor. I heard faint laughed and footsteps coming from behind me then Katie came running over to me. She saw the pain in my eyes she looked worried.
Katie-Danny? What's happened?
Danny-Nicole might die Katie. She might die and it's all because of me!
I said bursting into tears.
Katie-Come on, I'm sure she won't die! Don't worry about it.
Danny-No Katie, you don't understand, she's stopped breathing. The doctors are in there right now trying to save her. I can't take it anymore. If she does die I will never forgive myself!
She froze on the spot and her face went pale. She looked like she had seen a ghost, she had tears in her eyes but it was obvious that she was trying to stay brave for me.
Katie-Don't worry, we all know it's not your fault. Even if it was it wouldn't matter. We know you love her and would do anything to save her. Don't get yourself into a mess about this one little thing that's not even your fault!
Danny-How is this little? And I know you're only trying to make me feel better but I know it's my fault so will you please stop telling me it's not! I know you're trying to make me feel better but could you just leave me alone for five minutes?
Dougie stood in front of Katie in a protective kind of way.
Dougie-Don't shout at her! I get it you're angry and upset but don't start shouting at her about it!
Danny-I can do what I want! Leave me alone!
Tom-Woah, woah, woah. Stop it now! This isn't gonna help Nicole it will just make it worse. Stop fighting for like two minutes! Please!
Danny-Fine.
I sat back down and put my head in my hands.
Danny-I'm sorry about this guys...I'm not in the best mood and I need to take it out on something.
Katie-really, it's fine. Don't worry Danny, we're all really upset about it. We don't know what to say to make you feel better. We feel the same.
Danny-No you don't feel the same! Don't argue with me about it I know it's my fault I would never forgive myself if she died. I wouldn't know what to do with my life. I wouldn't need to live anymore.
Harry-No Danny, don't say that. I know you're in pain and everything but do-
Suddenly a doctor came over to where I was he looked down at his paper work and then looked up to face me.
Doctor-Are you uh....Mr. Jones?
Danny-Yeah...
I said shaking. He looked at me sypathetically, oh no. That can't mean? Can it?
Doctor-I'm so sorry Mr. Jones but I'm afraid we can't save her. We tried out best, it's just not working.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I didn't let him finish his sentence I just ran into her room and started pumping her chest and screamed stuff like 'No! Nicole wake up please!' and 'I'm so sorry, please I love you, you can't do this to me! Please!' The doctors tried to stop me by pulling me back but I refused. I couldn't just leave her like that. My tears were falling onto her body as I tried to save her. I kept on trying and trying but it just wasn't working so I gave up and fell to the floor onto my knees in tears. Then I heard a slight scream and then heavy breathing. No, she's dead. It has to be someone else. Is it? I slowly got up in caution and looked over to Nicole laying there. Her skin was back to it's normal colour again. Her eyes slowly opened and looked up at me. She gave a weak smile and then shreaked out in pain. I ran over to her quickly and comforted her being careful not to hurt her. I felt like the life inside of me and suddenly came back. My heart was fixed and all my bad thoughts went away. She was alive! I actually saved her. She shreicked a bit more and grabbed her stomach in pain. She closed her eyes for a while which made me a bit worried but then she opened them again looked up at me and gave me another weak smile. I took her hand and started stroking it with my thumb.
Danny-Don't worry darling, it will be okay. Please stay awake for me. Please.
I said in almost a whisper. She nodded slightly and I gave her a little smile and kissed her lightly on the head. My girl is back...well a friend.
