I'm not all that sure of how this is going to turn out, but I've read so many of these fan fictions that I hope I do a decent job. Thanks!

I've never ran this fast in my life. It felt like I was flying. All I knew was that I had to get away, far, far away.

I bolt upright in bed, doing everything in my power to keep from screaming out. I learned the hard way what happens when I scream.

I got out of bed as quietly as possible. I watched my footing to keep from the floor creaking. I unlocked the door and headed to the bathroom. I splashed some water on my face.

It's okay, nobody is here. You're safe, Sang.

I repeated that until I could get my breathing under control. I had to stay quiet, or else Marie may hear and tell our mother. If that happened, a nightmare would be the least of my worries.

Once safely back in my room, I saw the start of what looked to be a mesmerizing sunrise. I just had to get out there and see it, plus the fresh air might help clear the dream from my mind. I may not deserve much, but I usually grant myself the treat of seeing the first sunrise in a new place.

I slowly slid open the window. I lowered myself as far as I could, before dropping and doing a roll onto the ground. I will forever be grateful that I went to that particular elementary school. Them teaching me how to fall has saved me more times than I could count.

Suddenly I hear a gasp, and heavy footsteps heading towards me. All I see before I start running are black rimmed glasses and green eyes.

It's funny how weird life can be sometimes. Here I am, trying to get away from my nightmare, and am instead living it.

My feet barely touch the ground, the wind courses through my hair. This is what flying feels like. I just have to keep going. My mother's words are on repeat in my head.
Men only want one thing. After they rape you, they will kill you.

I wasn't about to let either of those things happen, so as soon as I'm in the wooded area, I climb up a tree. Once I get to the top, I jump from tree to tree to keep from letting on to the boy where I am.

Eventually the sound of footsteps fade away, so I allow myself to relax. I look up to see the sunrise in full effect. I may not have gotten to see all of it, but at least I get to see part of it.

I must have dozed off, I realize after being rudely awakened to the sound of voices and and crunching leaves. I look down in horror to see the boy from earlier, with another boy. How do I escape this?

"She went up into the trees and this was the last place I saw her. You should've been there, this tiny girl jumps from the second story of her house, rolls, and gets up like it's nothing. It was like watching Luke." Glasses said to his friend.

I glance at the newcomer and my eyes widen. His hair is a reddish brown that I just want to run my fingers through. The thing that struck fear into me though was the size of his muscles. They were huge and you could tell by his shirt that the muscles were just as prominent underneath.

"Did this girl happen to be blonde and wearing a pink shirt?" Muscles asks his friend while looking right up into my tree. I notice that my shirt is pink, and he isn't just a really great guesser.

Glasses follows his line of sight and sees me up in the trees. He gives me a big smile and yells up, "Hi, my name is Kota and this is my friend Nathan. I would love to know your name if you would just come on down here."

I would have gladly just yelled down my name, but due to my mother, that wasn't an option. She really must think I like the lemon juice and vinegar with the amount of times she has made me drink it. I have a feeling that they won't let this go, and how much harm could come from giving them my name?

With my mother's words swirling around in my head, I made my way down the tree. I haven't had a friend since, well, I can't remember ever even having a friend. I think it would be nice to talk to someone other than myself for once.

Finally planting my feet on the ground, I give them a shy smile, "My name is Sang Sorenson."

"Sang? That is a pretty weird name." Kota said.

"It's no weirder than Kota." I retort. I'm used to the confusion about my name, but it is still annoying.

"So Sang, are you new to the neighborhood?" Nathan asked.

"Yes, we just moved into the gray house."

"Well, it seems like I live right across from you, and Nathan only lives a few houses do-"

A buzzing noise cut Kota off. He gave an apologetic smile before answering the phone, "Hi mom" He paused, "It's already eleven? I'll go pick her up now. Love you, bye."

My mind went into overdrive as I realized the time. Someone surely would have noticed I was gone by now, there was no way I could get out of this.

"I just realized that I have to go cook lunch, goodbye!" Was the best I could come up with before sprinting home. I paid no attention to their voices calling after me. All I thought about was the slim chance that my mother's sleeping pills kept her asleep while I was gone.

I got back to the house and silently slid in the back door. All my hopes for getting away without a punishment were dashed when I saw my mother standing before me, seething with anger.

That's all I have for today, thanks for reading!
