"Uhhh, Phoenix? Where exactly are we going?"I asked, swoopng up next to her, careful not to entangle our wings.

"Away."She said simply

I laughed

'Yeah, I know. But where are we going away to?"I checked to make sure my wallet was still in my pocket.

"Somewhere, oaky?!"She exclaimed, looking at me.

"Okay, okay...."I held my hands up in defence.

WHAM!!!

Something or someone ran right into me, and we both began to plummet to the earth.

I opened my eyes to find a girl clutching my shoulders for dear life.

She had tanned skin, and black hair with a long purple streak in it. Her wings were black, with white tips.

"Rin?!"I exclaimed over the sound of the wind.

"Hi Mimi!!!"She shouted.

We both pushed our wings down before we became avian sidewalk-cakes.

But we had waited too long, so instead of catching an upwards draft, we hung in the air for a second, then fell sofly into the grass, which was just a few feet below us.

I seethed, clutching my possibly dislocated shoulder.

Phoenix landed, folding her wings, and running over to us.

"What the hell happened?!"She exclaimed as I popped my shoulder back into place.

"Rin crashed into me."I pointed at Rin, immediatley making it her fault.

"Hey, thanks."She scowled, standing up, and burshing off her black and purple shirt and dark blue capris.

She hauled me to my feet, then we both laughed.

"Huh?"Phoenix tilted her head.

"Nice to see ya."I grinned.

"As to you"She grinned back.

"Well, we've got two down, and several more to go."I pulled a small norebook out of my cargo pants, and crossed out Rin and Phoenux's names.

"What's that?"Phoenix asked, confused.

"A list of flock members I'm yet to meet"I explained, tucking the list back into my pocket.

Pluck.

I twitched.

"No, Carli, no!!"Phoenix exclaimed, watching me tear the nearest speed limit sign out of the ground, and spin around, facing my enemy.

"WHO DID THAT?!"I yelled.

"eeeeeek!!!"The little girl squealed, clutching her stuffed bunny, and the feather she'd plucked.

I growled.

"You remind me of my sister!!" I barked

She took a step back.

"But since you're so young, and NOT my sister, I'll let you off this hook this once...BUT DONT DO IT AGAIN!!!"I shouted.

The little girl ran away, crying.

"Was that absoloutley neccesary?"Rin rubbed her temples in annoyance.

"Not absoloutley, but neccesary"I said, throwing the sign to the ground.

"Whatever...let's just get going."Phoenix sighed.
