"Wassup girl." The girl that was standing in front me said.
"Hey." I simply spoke.
"Loosen up chic I'm cool." She said smiling.
I kinda smiled myself.
"I'm Arely." I told her.
"Daisy." "Like the flower." She said. She was a gorgeous girl and I wouldn't expect her to be in a place like this.
"I'm just hear while my boyfriend is handling business." She said. I thought sis was reading my mind for a sec.
"Your boyfriend works here?"
"Yeah, he's a drug lord, him Smoke and Kane. But what happened with you why they got you here? You tryna sell weed?" She asked me.
"It's a long story and I would rather NOT be here but apparently it ain't my decision."
"...damn girl what happen?" She asked. She just stood there starring but it was actually funny.
I sighed, "my parents owe some drug dealers, well apparently Smoke and since they couldn't find my step dad they took me." I shrugged.
"Wait a minute. Really that's the dumbest thing ever, why not just put the bounty out for his ass no way you deserve to be here." She said. I was really surprised.
"It's cool you can hang with me I got you." She said looping me by the arm using hers.
"Give me that, i oughtta smoke this shit." She said grabbing the bag of weed out of my hand. I was laughing she was pretty funny and cool I might enjoy being around her.
"Come on." She said.
"I was wondering if I could go home and take a shower I feel so dirty." I said. She laughed a little, "girl you?" She said. "This place make anyone feel dirty and I'm not talking about the mess." She said walking off.
Hmmm.
"So where do you live at?" She asked when she pulled off .
"On the Eastside, but I really don't know where I am to even get home to tell you the truth." I admitted.
"Girl don't worry I'll just gps it what's your address?" She asked me pulling out an iPhone 6s Plus (really written in 2013).
"210 Abby Blvd." I told her.
"Bet, I'mma getcha there." She assured me.
Then her phone went off.
"Wait I gotta make a quick stop." She said. I just want to go hooooommmme! Think I'd tell her that? Nah lol.
"It's cool." I give her fake assurance. But hell I'm riding with her anyway.
5 minutes later we pulled up on a block packed with people, dudes young and old, chicks the same. Basically it was the hooches standing out trying to impress the dopeboys.
"You wanna go in with me?" She asked me knocking me out of my thoughts causing me to realize that we were parked outside of an apartment building.
I was scared to sit in this car alone but I was too filthy to go inside.
"It's cool girl ain't nobody gone fwu. I just gotta pick up something from my dude and then we're gone okay?" She says.
I nod.
"Here's my phone play some music." She said before getting out.
Her phone was hooked to the aux. I began scrolling through her Apple Music but all she had was rap music which really wasn't my style so I just played anything and waited.
I was ready to get home and most importantly find my mom ! I know I can't let her see this bag of weed because if she takes this then I know I'll be dead !
Damn! How's this gonna work?
"You ready?" I heard Daisy say jumping back into the car.
"Sure."
15 minutes later we finally pulled up in front of my moms house. I automatically noticed the pink piece of paper on the door.
"You need me to walk you up?" Daisy asked with concern.
"Umm nah I'm good." I hesitated.
She must have felt it was something because she sat in the car waiting for me to go in but I stood on the porch reading the paper...
It was a foreclosure
Realizing that I don't have my key I began ringing the doorbell hoping that my mom would come to the door.
I can't lie I was embarrassed, even more because Daisy hadn't pulled off yet and was now getting out of her car.
"Looks like you can't get in girl you don't have a spare around here?" She asked me.
"No hopefully my mom will be here soon I'm good." I say.
"Yo Arely it's cool if you wanna roll you can you can take a shower at my crib I got clothes. They better than that." She said eyeing the raggedy t shirt .
It was going to be cool later on and there was no telling where my mom was at this moment. She sold me out, she probably wasn't gonna come back around anyway.
"Do you need to get something out of there, cause I could break it down for ya." Daisy said in all seriousness.
"......uh no I'll just come back, I'll roll with you." I said.
She smiled.
"Cool, I'mma hook you up." She said.
I just nodded my head and followed but I really didn't like where this was going.
