"Oh god. Um I uh-" I stuttered.
"It's fine Y/N." Brendon said, looking at me for a second then turning back to Sarah. "To what due I owe the pleasure?"
She rolled her eyes. "Snapchat." she said pulling out her phone.
"Wait what?" I asked.
"Right." Brendon kind of held it it out.
"Oh what does she not know about me?" Sarah asked mockingly.
I looked at Brendon. "It's not what it looks like." He said quickly.
"I'm his wife." Sarah said. My eyes widened, and I again turned to Brendon. I tried to go into my car, but he stood in front of me, so I ran the other way toward the back of the stadium, shoving my shoulder into Sarah's as I went.
"Y/N wait!" Brendon called after me, he was following me. I ran faster.
I could feel tears streaming down my face. Of course he has a wife you idiot. Who could love you?
"Shut up." I muttered.
Wow see you're talking to yourself again. Now see how you're proving my point? You're mental. Who could ever care about you?
"Shut up." I repeated, a little louder.
Didn't you see how pretty she was? You can't even compete in the physical side of a relationship. Not that you could ever anyway. I mean look at yourself. You're-
"SHUT UP!" I shouted, then ran even faster. I didn't even think it was possible, but I did it. I had learned when I was kid that if I ran fast enough my heartbeat in my ears could drown out any noise, and the pain in my chest could rival any other.
Then, lost in running, I ran right into someone. Or more like two people.
"Whoa, whoa you okay?" My head was spinning, I couldn't see straight, my heart was racing, and I could still feel tears in my eyes though I couldn't feel anything on my skin so I had no idea if they were running down my face or if my eyes had finally dried out.
"Hey. Hey! Can you hear me?" I nodded my head. I could feel my breathing still carrying on to be as jagged as it was when I was running.
"I think she's having a panic attack. Listen, okay breathe. It's okay. Can you see me?"
"Everything's blurry."
"Okay I'm gonna have my friend Josh here carry you inside and we'll make sure you'll be okay. Is that alright?" I nodded. "Okay."
I felt the ground leave from underneath my feet. Whoever was talking to me's voice was somehow calmingly familiar.
"What's your name by the way? If you can't talk just shake your head."
"Y/N" I breathed.
"Pretty name." Josh, I think, said.
"Y/N, Josh is going to set you on the couch, and I am going to get you a glass of water, and he'll stay here and keep you company. Okay?"
"Okay." I felt my body sink into cold leather, that felt refreshing to my heated skin.
Then I heard a door open, and footsteps away from where I was.
"Y/N?" I assumed it was Josh.
"Hi." I said.
"Why were you running?"
"It's- He- and- she" I tried to speak but was like only fragments of my thoughts would come out.
"Shh. Just take your time, breathe lay it out in your mind before you say it. I know it feels like you already have, but you haven't."
"It- It's a guy."
"Ooh tell me more." I couldn't help but laugh slightly.
"He- I thought he was single. He ki- he kissed me." I stuttered out.
"Oh. So you said you thought he was single?"
"He- he- h-"
"Breathe, Y/N."
"He has a wife."
"Tough luck, huh? Sounds like a total jerkface."
"He seemed so sweet. Figures considering he's apparently some star something."
"What's his name?"
"Brendon. Brendon Urie."
"Y/N, I know I'm gonna sound crazy but I think Brendon Urie is in love with you, and as for his wife, she is there for publicity."
"You're right you sound crazy."
"My name is Josh Dun. I'm a friend of Brendon's. He told me and my best friend Tyler about you. He loves you Y/N."
"Wha-?"
"Y/N."
"Huh?"
"He's right here."
I felt a hand in mine. I felt my vision become clearer to see Urie watching me worry written on his face. Then something flickered. It was like deja vu, I could see him. His eyes were yellow but then they faded back to their normal color. I shook it off.
"Y/N, please know she means nothing to me." he pleaded.
"There's just- I- Can I speak to Brendon alone?" I asked.
"Yeah." Josh and the other guy answered. I sat up and stared at the ground, feeling Brendon's gaze burn my skull.
"Come on what's going on inside that pretty little head of yours?"
"Do I know you? I mean have I known you before this? How can you just love me? Why did you pull me up on stage? I can't see this."
"See what?"
"It's like there's something that I'm missing. Brendon, I don't know what it is and I won't care just, if there is something...could you tell me?"
"Y/N...I don't know where this coming from...you just had a panic attack, everything is, blurred, I think you should take it easy. Maybe get some rest..."
"B- but..." I was so sure... There had to have been something...but there isn't and now he probably thinks you're crazy, good job.
"Hey, hey, you've had a rough time lately, been through a lot, rest." I looked into his eyes and felt like everything would be alright if I just trusted him and did what he asked, but no I just felt like that wasn't what I wanted, not right this second.
"Urie..." his brown eyes glistened. "Who was that girl?"
"Y/N I promise I'll explain everything once you rest."
"But what about the show?" It was becoming harder not to listen.
"There's always the next one. I'll have Tyler and Josh come get you for the last song. Want me to take you to my bunk? It's much comfier."
I nodded.
"Here have a drink of water first." He handed me a glass from the table behind him. I took a sip. "Okay. Ready?" I nodded once more.
He scooped me up from the couch and I nestled my head into his chest. I wondered how he could still be so nice to me after all this, but he was, and I loved him for it.
I didn't make it to the bus as I fell asleep in his arms, his heartbeat as my lullaby.

"...he's right, you are. I wish I would have met you first. Maybe I'd have a shot then. Though you love him too, and just the way you two are...you're a perfect couple. Who am I to want to split that up?"
I opened my eyes to see none other than Josh Dun.
"Y/N! Um you're up?" he shifted around as he sat on the bunk across from me.
"Um who were you talking about?" I asked, getting out of the bunk.
He took a breath. "You heard that?" I nodded. "Um, well...I may have been talking about...about you." He mumbled.
"Well, uh-"
"I know and you weren't supposed to hear that." He said, standing up. His was only about a few inches from my face, due to the compactness of the bus.
"Josh, look, I am flattered and all but I'm with Brendon."
"I know, but- just...at least you would know I'm all yours." He leaned in closer. Then before I knew or could stop it he kissed me. I pushed him off.
"Josh I know about her, but I trust him. I- I love Brendon. I don't know how, and I don't know why but I do, and for some reason he loves me too."
"I-"
"I'm sorry but I love Brendon, and I don't see that changing anytime soon."
I ran out of the bus and went to find a door to backstage.
"Y/N?" I turned and saw Tyler Joesph. Wow can this day get any more crazy?
"Hi."
"Where's Josh? He was supposed to bring you in."
"Um, I...he's back on the bus...I need to see Brendon." I said. I didn't know how to explain this to Tyler. I mean Josh is his best friend.
"Oh, okay, yeah come on." He turned and led us to a door with a guard in front of it, who let us in immediately.
I ran though backstage to see Brendon preforming from the side of the stage.
What the hell am I going to tell him?
