Let Me tell You a Story

Shina's POV
Today is the start of Christmas break but Ash never showed even once. It was 4 days from now since I saw him. My cat Ash had been sleeping a lot. It's cold and maybe he's storing energy and heat by sleeping. "Ash, I'll be going out for a while. I have to prepare for our party with your big brother Ash", I said then left.

At the grocery, I saw Ash standing in front of the gate. He was wearing really thick clothes. "Do you hate cold weather?", I asked. "You havent reported for 4 days", I pouted. "But still, you're here", I smiled and grabbed her inside. I have to prepare well for tonight. "You're buying a lot", Ash yawned. "You better be awake for later. Plus, you're going to meet my cat Ash", I told him. He seemed to stop for a thought. Does he hate cats also?

Apartment

Shina entered and saw a cat on the floor. "Is this Ash?"Shina carried him. "He's gotten ugly. Does cold weather makes you ugly?", Shina sighed and let the cat down. Ash entered the door and sighed. "Finally, it's warmer here", Ash entered and sat at the couch. "Ash. Dont just sit there. Come help me", Shina demanded. "How am I suppose to help? This is killing me", Ash complained. "Just chop the vegetables", Shina said. Ash cut his hands dozens of times but it healed fast. Shina sighed and got behind him. She held her hand and taught him how to chop. "You're too close", Ash said. Shina flushed and made a distance. "I'm sorry", Shina apologized and went back to making dough. "What are you doing? It looks yummy", Ash asked. "A cake", Shina answered. "A cake? So you can do it?", Ash sighed. Shina explained to Ash how things are done in the kitchen. After a while, all the food is done.

"Are there any occasion? You're very happy and really excited", Ash asked as they sit at the living room. "It's my birthday Ash. Birthday is when...", Shina cut her words and just smiled. "Birthday is when humans are born", Ash continued and started digging in. "Hope you like the food", Shina smiled and opened the television. It was a variety show. She laughed a lot and even threw food at Ash when he's staring at her too much. After eating, they both went at the rooftop. "It's also christmas so there will be fireworks", Shina said while holding the fake cat ash on her lap.

"Happy birthday, Shina", Ash suddenly greeted. "I think when someone's got a birthday, you'll give them something", Ash reached inside his pocket. "Here", Ash showed a ring with a red stone in the middle. It was engraved with pretty design. "Is this something from the ancient days?", Shina asked. "A king who was my former Eve gave that to me", Ash said. "Is it okay for you to give it to me?", Shina asked. Ash got her hand and wore the ring on her finger. Shina gave a tight hug to Ash. "Thank you, Ash", Shina chuckled and the fireworks started.

Sleepy Ash's POV- A little backward story

Shina was very happy today. She dragged me inside the grocery. Her hands was always warm. I am tired carrying her groceries.

Along the way, I saw a lonely cat and maybe it wouldnt hurt to bring him with us. Plus, Shina is expecting for the three of us to celebrate.

She invited me at the kitchen to help. I wounded myself for a couple of times. She chuckled and led my hand how to do it. Shina is really warm. She's kind. She's caring. Although people does a lot of hurtful things to her, she never did  ask me to hurt them as well. That is why I dont understand why people doesnt like her.

It was later that she revealed that it was her birthday. We went up the rooftop and I gave her a ring. It was a good piece of art and I thought she would like it but she really love it. She hugged me tightly again. I wonder how many times she did that.

I gently pushed her away. After the fireworks, I stood up.  I have to find Akio as soon as possible. "What happened once our deal is done?", Shina asked. I havent thought of that. "Contracts are ireversible. If you want to break it, either one of us will have to die", I explained. "Then that's good, we dont have any reason to part ways anyway", Shina smiled.

Present

"I was just curioused", Mahiru opened while walking down the streets with Sendagaya and Hugh. "What happened to your previous eves?", Mahiru asked. "Didnt Sloth told you about it?", Hugh asked. "You were his new Eve because...", an accident happened in front of them and they have to help secure the safety of the people.

Misono's Mansion

"You were about to say something to Brother", Lily entered the room. "I've done a great sin to him, All of Love", Hyde sighed. "Whatever it was... it's all in the past", Lily smiled and gave a hot tea to Hyde. "Is your Eve alright?", Hyde asked. "Yeah, he's just that kind of person. He easily catches illnesses", Lily explained. "My Licht is always stronger than me", Hyde boasted. "Okay. Okay. Hyde, be sure to protect Licht whatever happens. He's a really reliable Eve", Lily sat beside him. "Lily, I am going to tell you a story", Hyde opened.
