In the Future

River Side

Subclasses surrounded Shina and Ash. They were able to finish them off. "Bad grasses are hard to die", Shina sighed and lie down the grassy plains. "The sky is pitch black", Shina commented. Ash also lie beside her. "Akio is good in hiding. I'm gonna die", Ash sighed. Shina patted Ash's head. "Good work, partner. We did great today. We might not find that bastard but we were able to get some lead", Shina said while holding a phone from one subclasses.

"If Akio is a subclass. That means he has a leader", Shina asked. "It would probably be Lawless but he's not that kind of guy who will mixed up with his subclasses", Ash explained. "Hmmm. It's ny first time to hear you talk about someone else", Shina smiled. "Listen, In the future...when I turned into ashes...  remember this Ash. Dont be afraid to open up to your Eve. It may not be me this time but someone in the future is waiting to hear more of your story", Shina flicked his forehead.

"I wont leave you Ash. Not because I know I'll die when you're not around but I will stick with you till the very end. You're the only thing I had and you have me too", Shina held Ash's hand.

The rest of the days were fun and exciting.

We played video games together. Ash was really hard to teach but he was really good after getting the basics.

He never gotten sick of potato chips like my cat.

As for Ash my cat, he's always absent when Ash is around. Maybe they dont get along together.

Present
Mahiru and Kuro are joining a funeral. "Why are we here?", Kuro asked. "We have to pay respect with the people that we werent able to save in that accident", Mahiru sobbed. "It wasnt your fault", Kuro said. "Even though", Mahiru clenched his fist. "When people die... do they also turn to ashes?" Kuro asked. Mahiru stared at Kuro. "They do but it's a long process. Why ask that question?", Mahiru asked. "Nothing. Do you have something to do this day?", Kuro asked. "I have a lot. Why? Is there something you want me to do?", Mahiru asked. "I want you to search for  a grave ", Kuro answered.

Flashback....
The Next Day

There was a lead that Akio is inside an underground headquarter below the amusement park.

Ash and Shina entered and saw no one was there but a piece of paper.

I got your mom if your forgotten.

Here's the deal, you come to me and with that Servamp. Of course, you got your mother back.

Or you got 7 days to make me wait and your mother dies.

Meet me at the Clocktower 6 pm 7 days from now.

Shina hid the paper and told Ash they got the wrong place.

Ash's POV

Although Shina never talked about what was written in the paper. I kind off know that it was a choice between me or her mother. Shina doesnt know that once I got separated with her within 24 hours, both of us will die.

"We are going to save Mom and you are going to fulfill your mission", Shina suddenly spoke. "I understand", I just said in a a bored tone. 

Shina's POV

I got a bad feeling, it's the same goosebumps I feel whenever I feel threatened to death. In my heart and mind, I knew that these 7 days I have left to decide should be the best of what Ash and I have.

I went home and saw my cat sulking. I can tell that since he wasnt sleeping but just lying around with his eyes open. "Want to have a bath? Ash?", I asked. I took him in the bath and bathe him. He looked relaxed at the thub so I left him for a while. I went to prepare him some milk and snacks. He's probably hungry since I've been running with Ash today searching for that bastard. He went out of the bathroom and I enveloped him with his towel. He drank the milk and ate the cookies. He's not the usual him, is he depressed that I havent spent more time with him?

I watched him roll at his bed that night. He wasnt comfortable at all. I took him with me at the bed and let him sleep over my head. "Good night, Ash. I hope you have a good night rest", I whispered to him and caressed him for a while.

Present
MISONO'S residence

Lily nodded as Hyde finished his story. "That's when Mahiru picked Brother", Hyde ended the story. Lily stretched his limbs and gave a flick on Hyde's forehead. "You never done anything to be guilty about it", Lily assured and gave Hyde an pat on the head. "Sleep early Hyde, you still have a lot of medications to be fully healed", Lily smiled.

Misono checked if Lily is still awake so he went to his room. "Lily?", Misono knocked. "Are you feeling bad? I feel this pain in my chest", Misono informed. "Sorry Misono. It's already late. You've got to go to sleep", Lily stood up from his chair. "Lily, did something bad happen?", Misono asked.

Lily opened about what Hyde told him.

Mahiru's Apartment

"Christmas is approaching, Kuro. What do you want to do?", Mahiru asked. "Cook food, eat cake, then watch the fireworks", Kuro answered. "You and your lazy head again", Mahiru sighed. "Anything else?", Mahiru asked. Kuro just rolled in his bed again and had his fur all over the place.
