A Fragment Of Our Memories

I got seven days

Day 1

Ash was too busy playing with video games so I joined him. I told him that if I was able to beat him in any game, we'll be going outside.

I challenged him with a datings sims game and he lost. We visited the museum I used to go whenever I would ran away from Akio. There were a lot of ancient things in there.

I asked Ash about them and he suprisingly knew the history. He's got interesting stories about them too. Ash suprisingly understand a lot about rules and regulation. He doesnt want me to take pictures at the museum.

Day 2

It was really cold and we're freezing so we decided to be indoors. Ash my cat locked himself at his room. Ash and I watched movies together. He slept half day and I just watched beside him.

He was awake when I was watching a love story. He was unexpectedly interested. "Why do people fall in love so easily? Lawless' Eve married a man because of the love of freedom?", Ash narrated. "Maybe that wasnt love after all. To marry someone doesnt mean you love him...at all", I was referring to my mom. Akio promised a good life and Mom was really concerned about me growing up without a father. After mom marrying that bastard, she began acting strange. Maybe because Akio was controlling her.

"How about you, Ash? Have you ever fell in love?", I asked. He just yawned again and went back to lie down at the couch. "Arent we going to look for Akio?", he opened. "We're going to let this week pass. Everyone's busy and we dont want to ruin their happiness", I lied.

It will be seven days. 2 days already passed. I hope I can get it clear with Ash. I need to leave him and he needs to look for another Eve.

Day 3

I decided to take my cat on a veterenarian to be observed. I guess he's really having depression, he's acting weird. The vet told me that he will be taken care of for few days.

Ash met me at the skating rink. He's really bad at it and so I held his hand the whole time we're having ice skating. Mom and I usually do this together. I need enough resolve to leave Ash in order to be with my Mom.

We saw an old woman being assisted by a younger man. "Am I going to see you old like that?", Ash asked. "No way. I dont want you to see me old like that", I faked a laugh. I wanted to... but you will never age. Am I right?

We took a rest and went home. Ash told me he would be sleeping at my apartment since it's cold. I wonder where he sleeps at night?

Day 4

Ash, for the first time, came early at the apartment. He might have remembered my request that I want to see the sunrise. We had our mountain climbing. I prepared umbrella for him. He complained all the way at the top. I took a picture of the sunrise. I never had a photo with Ash. I pulled him closer and we did had a photo together.

I've been in hell for these past years. These days, I felt like I could move from those pain and hurts. "Thank you, Ash", I just smiled at him.

Day 5

I trained using my bow and Ash assisted me in my training.

I just noticed how long and slender his fingers are. I pouted and think why I have short ones.

Day 6

I just asked Ash that we walk down the streets. I stopped in front of the fountain.

"Ash, this place is where I first saw you", I reminded. "Yeah, it was where I threw you at the bushes", Ash remembered. "Come to think of it. Do vampires also have their birthday?" Shina asked. "Yeah. That's when we were created", Ash answered. "When is yours. I should give you something in return", I stared at him. "I remember that it was a day where everyone is having fun", Ash answered. "When is that?", I was curioused. "By the way, let me treat you today. We'll be having potato treats", I grabbed him inside a restaurant. His eyes glittered looking at the potatoes being roasted. "I would like to see you like this everyday of my life", I just whispered in the air.

Day 7- afternoon

Shina left a letter at the table for Ash.

Shina went alone at the clocktower. The clock ticked 6 pm and confetti fell down. "Congratulations! You've done a great job!!!", Akio finally appeared with my Mom on the terrace of the tall tower. "Be careful to do anything. I can throw your mom anytime", Akio threatened. "Oh. I cant see any man with you. You know how angry I can be to see you with other people. I did kill 2 of your boy friends before", Akio reminded. Shina was surrounded by subclasses.

Akio pushed Touru off the tower but someone caught her. "Ash?", Shina prepared her bow. A subclass grabbed her and knocked her head.

Shina woke up and saw herself on the terrace of the clock tower. She looked down and saw Ash being beaten down by subclasses. "Ash isnt this weak", Shina felt ropes on her hands. "Ahhhh. He forgot to tell you or was he lazy enough to explain", Akio circled around Shina. "Eve make contract with humans when humans named them and give something in collateral. Just that I realized... you never gave him anything but you yourself. Your collateral are your memories you created with him. In any cases, you'll be free anyways", Akio chuckled. "You've gone really mad", Shina gritted her teeth.

"Just let him go. You need me, right?", Shina cried. "Just let him go?", Akio laughed. "If I do? You'll die. You know how bonds can be broken between Eves and Servamp. You either kill any of them", Akio whispered.

Present...

Kuro and Mahiru spent the Christmas with the rest of the Servamp.

"Hoy!!! Old child. I need some mustard here", Hyde commanded while he is still in wheelchair. "Sendagaya, you heard the kid", Hugh ordered his Eve. "Lily, is the cake ready?", Misono asked. "Yes, it's almost ready", Lily answered. Kuro sneaked out and went at the terrace. "You're not eating potato chips. Misono prepared that for you", Mahiru followed him. "Mahiru, Thank you", Kuro suddenly said. Mahiru panicked and gave him potato chips. "Are you sick? Do vampire get sick?", Mahiru asked. "Shut up Mahiru. It's an order from my previous Eve", Kuro explained. "Hmmm. Do you always do that to your previous Eve?", Mahiru asked. "I... never was able to thank her", Kuro sighed.
