Adrien received even more glares and stares at school after his fight with his dad. He put little to no effort into his outfit and he had black smudged under his eyes. He looked like L from Death Note, just with Light hair. The blonde was surprised after the bell rang when he saw Marinette talking to Chloe across the street.
"Did you do this to my Adrikins?"
"Me? It was his choice?"
"You pressured him into doing drugs!"
"All I did was sing with him!"
"I saw you with him yesterday! He's my boyfriend!"
"Actually, I'm no one's boyfriend." the two girls hadn't noticed Adrien walking up behind them. They were surprised but then started to shout at him.
"Who even is she?" Marinette gestured to Chloe.
"Who is she?" retaliated the blonde girl.
"Chloe, Marinette. Marinette, Chloe." Adrien introduced the girls to each other, "I have to go, also, I don't do drugs." he tried to make a break for it but Marinette grabbed the collar of his shirt with surprising strength.
"Oh no you don't," she said, "Explain."
Adrien turned to Marinette, "Chloe goes to my school and I have known her since I was five. We dated in middle school and broke up after two months." he turned to Chloe, "Marinette is my friend from MSC."
"You have sunk to a new low, Adrien." Chloe tore off, leaving him and Marinette alone (well as alone as you could be in the middle of Paris)
"Well, now you've met Chloe," he held out his hand to the bluenette beside him, "Shall we? My Lady?" Marinette was slightly flustered when he kissed her hand. Then she remembered the previous night and tugged her hand out of his grip. "What's wrong?"
"It's just," she looked at the floor, blushing, "I don't want a repeat of yesterday. That was an accident."
"I promise it won't happen again." said Adrien sincerely.
"Look, I haven't even told Alya about that so don't tell anyone else. Please." Marinette rushed through her words, trying to get them out as fast as possible.
"Nobody needs to know and nobody will know."
"Thanks. Now we can go." they walked over to the club for the second time in two days but this time when they got there, everyone else had arrived. The band was in a circle around Nino and Alya. Marinette and Adrien snuck in so that they could eavesdrop.
"Get them to sing this song!" said Kim, handing Nino his iPod.
"What about this one?"
"How about this!" requests for songs came from all around the huddle. They all seemed to be possible duets. Nathanael was the only one not participating, he stood, back against the wall, sulking.
