"Oh, don't be so angry, Jamie," Kitty was laughing as we made our way to lunch. "It was pretty funny!"

I rolled my eyes."I'm sure it was... for you."

"Its so cute how you guys are constantly bickering." She chuckled as we got to the lunch line.

Since I was a food addict, I loaded my silver tray up with muffins, desserts, and of course; a whole pizza. Kitty's tray was full of meat.

We found a table near the back. Raven Queen was already there, staring down at her mirrorpad with a bright smile on her face. We joined her.

"Hey guys," She gave us a smile. "How was detention?"

"Ugh," I groaned as the memory of spiders all over me rushed to the front of my mind. "It was horrible and I don't want to give details."

"What are you smiling about?" Kitty asked slyly.

Raven blushed. "Dexter sent me a text."

Kitty frowned. She had told me before of how she disapproved of their relationship. She was all about destroying the royals and Raven dating Dexter ruined her whole campaign. They went on about the royals versus rebels issue and I tuned out.

I watched the busy cafeteria.

Apple White and Briar Beauty were surrounded by drooling princes. Crystal Queen was posing with Duchess Swan for a picture. Daring Charming was too busy looking at his mirror to notice that there were girls trying to get his attention.

And Cindy Darling was sitting at a table across from us with Ashlynn Ella and Blondie Lockes; she was staring right at me, a scowl on her pretty face. God was I the only thing that ran through her mind. She had won. I had been punished. What more did she want?

"We should do something to Cindy Darling," Kitty spoke up."She deserves it after all."

"Kitty." Raven shook her head.

"What do you think, Jamie?" She ignored Raven sharply.

I shrugged, taking a bite of my pizza. "Maybe we should wait until she does something to me again."

"But she already did!" Kitty let out a frustrated sigh. "I need some excitement at this school!"

"Harming people isn't whats going to give our freedom of choice," Raven said softly. "It'll only prove Headmaster Grimm's point. That everyone must stay in their place."

I set my bag next to my seat, pulling out my mirrorpad. "Well said, Raven."

Then Patrick Pan walked by, a smirk on his face as his eyes met mine. I scowled and turned away, looking down at my mirrorpad.

Raven smiled gratefully however Kitty just snickered, turning away from us both.

------------------------

It was the last class of the day and I was by my locker, desperately searching for my textbook. However, it hadn't been in my bag or my locker. If I had left it in my room, I'd be late and that would be another penalty.

I searched my locker one last time, knocking over books.

Thats when I came upon a picture of Dad and I when I was only three years old. He was on his last ship voyage before he had to return to Neverland to defeat Peter Pan. We had had so much fun.

We had watched the dolphins jump up and about. He had taught me my last sword lesson. He had carried me on his back. He'd let me swim with the mermaids even though my mother had protested against it.

Then at night, he had put me to sleep. He had known eventually he'd be thrown in jail or something for all the horrible things he'd done to Peter Pan. However, he had no idea he'd be killed by an alligator. No one had because that wasn't apart of his story.

I realized there were tears building up in my eyes and I wiped them away quickly, stuffing the picture in my bag.

"Jamie."

I turned to see Patrick Pan, holding my textbooks. "I took these from your bag during lunch," He said somberly. "But here."

I took the books. "Thanks."

Then he smiled. "See you around."

I nodded and as soon as he left, I realized we hadn't bickered. We'd actually had a normal interaction.

I wasn't sure if I should smile or be cautious of this but I didn't have time to figure it out.

The bell rang.
