I didn't talk to Patrick much after that. All we ever did was pass eachother in the halls and just smile. Sometimes I wouldn't smile back. Sometimes I pretended I didn't notice him. Most of the time, I just ignored him.
Soon, worries of Patrick were out of my head. I was finally off my punishment. I was ecstatic (sort of) for the field trip to Mermaid Beach, and Cindy Darling wasn't allowed to go due to accidentally destroying some of the witches potions attempting to dye her hair. Oh and did I mention my mother was going to be there? Yup, that was going to be fun.
"I want to go and everything but I have to leave town," Malifia sighed. "My Dad wants to give me some lessons while everyone's away on Spring Break."
I was helping Malifia pack all her things in the dorm she shared with Cupid. Malifia, sadly, wasn't coming with us. Instead her Dad was going to teach her how to use compulsion to make someone prick their finger. This was all practice for the real thing.
"Well at least you won't be stuck with the evil step-librarians."
"Why are they coming?"
"Apparently they're going to inform us about the mermaids or something." I rolled my eyes. I was totally not looking foward to that.
"Are you going to spend some time with your mother while you're there?" She asked expectantly, tossing a couple of dresses into her evil, stingy suitcase. The thing kept jumping about everytime we threw something in.
I shrugged. "If she has time for me." Now that was a definite if.
"Thats silly," Malifia giggled. "Every parent has time for their child."
"Not if they're one of the most wanted pirates in the Pacific." I reminded her.
We finally finished up. The suitcase hopped around the room now, seeming eager to get away from us. Looks like he didn't want to leave the school. However, Malifia literally lunged for him. She fell on the floor, cradling the suitcase like she would a baby.
I helped her force the suitcase shut.

Our transportation was the school's purple - colored dragon, Rave. I had never seen one before so I was pretty scared out of my wits. However, I gathered my courage and climbed up the scaly body of the dragon. I almost slipped twice.
There were sturdy cushioned benches on the back of the dragon. Yet I had no idea how those benches were going to stay on the back of that thing when we started flying.
Kitty gestured for me to sit next to her and I was headed for her when the most life changing thing happened. In my sad attempt at trying to avoid Patrick Pan who was trying to get to the back, I ended up running into him. My suitcase burst open.
Just my luck right?
I fell down and tried to force all my clothes into the suitcase. However, it had taken a lot to get them in there in the first place. I couldn't seem to get my clothes stuffed in the suitcase this time. "Ahem, Raven, a little magic would be nice."
Raven sat down next to Dexter. "I'm evil remember? My powers don't work when I'm trying to help somebody."
I gave her a look and she sighed, joining me on the surface of Rave's back to pick up my things.
She pushed my clothes, trying to stuff them back in. "It won't budge!"
"Try harder!" I pleaded.
"Its not working, Jamie!"
"Ugh!" I was so frustrated I had the urge to kick all my things off the dragon and wing it.
"Trouble, ladies?" One of the evil step librarians had come towards us, a disapproving thin frown on her face. "You should be in your seats right now."
