Harley-

"So where are we going?" I asked Gerard. We had closed up the booth for today and we're heading out to his car. "Starbucks!" He beamed. I laughed lightly at his enthusiasm. "Ah, the basic white girl headquarters!" I teased. "Hey! Starbucks has the best damn coffee in the world!" He yelled. I giggled and rolled my heads. Such an adorable dork! "Look who's talking." Gerard mumbled while shaking his head.

I cocked an eyebrow at him. "Wait what?" I asked. He quickly snapped out of whatever thought he had and looked back down at me. "What?" He asked. "What did you say?" I asked. He shrugged. "Nothing. Uh, here's my car." He said as we approached a black junky looking car. "It's a rental. My nice one's back in New Jersey." He said. I nodded and he opened the passenger door for me.

I smiled and blushed a little. "Such a gentleman." I said as I got in. Gerard walked around and got in the drivers seat. "So Harley? How old are you if you don't mind me asking?" Gerard asked. "18. And you?" I replied then asked. "29." He answered as he backed out of the parking lot. "Really? You don't look that old." I said. Gerard smiled and his cheeks turned a light shade of pink.

He turned the radio on and the song Never Gonna Stop By Rob Zombie started playing. "I love this song!" I said and started head banging. "Is this your favorite song? By Rob Zombie?" He asked. I shook my head. "Nope. Dead City Radio!" I said. The song was only half way over when we pulled into Starbucks. It was only around the corner. "Wait here." Gerard said. I nodded and he got out of the car.

I blushed when he came around to my side of the car and opened the door for me. "Thanks!" I said shyly. We walked into Starbucks and I noticed a few people staring. I glanced up at Gerard and smirked. He caught me staring and I quickly looked back down and blushed at my own stupidity. I heard him chuckle lightly. "So, what would you like to drink?" He asked, nudging me slightly.

"Um. I-I don't know. I've actually never had Starbucks before..." I mumbled. Gerard abruptly stopped and I looked at him confused. "What?!" He asked with wide eyes. I just shrugged. He immediately walked up to the front desk where you order. "One large cappuccino and one large pumpkin spice latte with whipped cream please?" He said to the cashier.

The young looking guy nodded his head as he stared at Gerard in awe. "U-uh, w-will that be all s-sir?" He asked. Gerard nodded with a friendly smile and the boy rung us up. "Uh, how much is it?" Gerard asked. The boy looked up almost in a daze. "For you? On the house man!" He said. Gerard looked back at me and smiled. "Um thanks!" Gerard beamed.

"Sure thing Mr. Way. Uh, will that be all?" He said. Me and Gerard both laughed lightly. Wow, he must be really nervous. "Harley do you want a shot of espresso in your coffee?" Gerard asked me. I shook my head no. "No thanks! I'd rather not have a heart attack." I giggled. Even though I wish I were dead... Gerard's smile faltered and his eyes, once again, turned red.

I knew I wasn't seeing things! "Gerard are you ok?" I asked, snapping him out of his thoughts. "Yeah Harley, I'm fine." He said, forging a smile. The cashier handed us our coffees and we sat down. I had the pumpkin spice while Gerard had the cappuccino. "Um, thanks for getting this for me. It tastes really good." I said and blushed slightly.

"No problem Harley. Like I said, I was gonna repay you." Gerard smiled and patted my head. I smiled and looked down since my blush was getting darker. Gerard didn't really say anything after that. We both just enjoyed our coffees. Though, Gerard eventually spoke up. "Hey Harley? Do you value your life?" He asked.

I stopped drinking my coffee and my heart sunk. That question came out of nowhere and I didn't know how to answer it. Of course not, but I'm not going to tell him that! The look on his face changed from sad to worry and his eyes flashed red again. Before any of us could say something, my phone goes off and I get a text from my mom.

Mom: honey you need to come home now. Please hurry! Your dad is at it again!

I read over the text with fearful eyes. He was hurting her again... And he's gonna hurt me too when I get home. I really don't want to go back there but my mom needs me. I can't just leave her with him. I jumped slightly when I felt a hand being placed on mine. "Harley? Are you alright? You're all tense." Gerard asked. I looked up from my phone. He looked concerned. His thumb lightly rubbed my hand.

"Harley what's wrong?" He asked. I shook my head. "I-it's my mom. She needs me to come home, like, right now. I'm sorry, but I have to go." I said getting up. "Oh, let me drive you home." He said, standing up also. I couldn't risk my dad seeing him. "Um, thanks, but I think I'll be alright." I lied, faking a smile. Gerard gave me a suspicious look. He was on to me.

"Are you absolutely sure?" He asked, crossing his arms and giving me a look a parent would give their kid when they knew they were lying or up to something. I tried pulling off my best innocent smile. "It's alright Gerard. I only live two blocks away anyways. Um, thanks again for the coffee though." I chirped, picking up my backpack and half drank coffee.

"Wait!" He said, grabbing my wrist. "Are you coming back to comic con tomorrow?" Gerard asked. The strictness is his eyes changed to hopeful and he looked so adorable! Aw! He looks so adorable like that! "Yeah of course!" I said, smiling at him. Gerard blushed and let go of my wrist. "Alright. See ya tomorrow sugar!" He said, winking at me making me blush.

Sugar? I smiled to myself and looked down, blushing even harder. "Y-yeah. See ya." I stuttered. We exchanged smiles one last time before I left Starbucks. I had lied about only living two blocks away from here but I didn't want my dad seeing Gerard dropping me off. He's gonna kill me for taking so long to get home and I left my skateboard in Gerard's car...
