I used my finger nails to pry under the fur as hard as possible until I found a lock, it was a springy thingy. I used my thumb to edge the rim around when, SNAP. It burst open clamping itself intibthe costume. Thousands of SNAPS followed, the robot started to shake. I slowly hopped off and ran to Roxy's side. Foxy falling to the floor, withering around in its costume when everything froze. The robots eyes turned white and something emerged from it. A whisp. A ghost? I bit my tongue to keep quiet.
"What is that?" Roxy whispered quickly.
I didn't answer as the ghost or whisp vanished.
"Come on, we need to help the others." I nodded, grabbing her hand.
We ran across the cove and into the hallway when I came to a halt.
"Hold up." I swallowed.
I harshly remembered the bear and glanced around.
"Ok, let's go." I started again. Luckily Roxy didn't ask.
Alex had stopped screaming and to me that was a bad sign.
"Get Alex, I got the boys." I told her.
She darted around the room and pulled herself under the stage without a second thought. What also scared me was that the room was empty, expect for Misty standing alone, still in the suit. I rushed up to her.
"Are you ok?" I hissed under my breath.
The bear or Misty nodded.
"Here, I think I can get you out." I pulled her by the hand back towards pirates cove, quietly praying that the golden bear was gone.
Skylar manged to pry off Foxys hook with her bare hands! I sat down next to her thinking,
What have we gotten in to?
She was elegant and quick with the task at hand, she sewed the seams away from the suit, pulling me out, sweaty as I was she hugged me tightly.
"Thanks." I breathed when she stepped back."Which way did they take them?" She asked me as we made our way back to the party room, the whole building silent.
"That way." I lead her back towards where the storage room was.
I jumped when a drawing fell off the wall.
"Wait, Misty? Eariler....." Skylar stopped.
I turned around to face her.
"I saw something." She started to say, her face in her hands.
"What? What did you see?" I walked closer to her.
She didn't answer. I disided not to pry.
"It's ok. I promise we'll be fine." I said.I wanted to tell her that Alex would be fine but I knew I could make something up that might not be true. I saw him, screaming under the stage. I saw being dragged, his legs and arms kicking against whatever demon was pulling him away from his friends and sister. I turned away from her and reached out for the door knob and swallowed. I silently twisted the door knob and pushed it open.
