Giggles and Screams

Hello! Im not really sure what to write in this author note so im just going to get on with the stuff you guys want to read!

In seconds Bruce was at the side of Dicks bed, joy evident on his face. Hesitantly, as so not to hurt Dick, he enveloped him in a hug before raising a shaking finger to his com.

'Batman to Team:Report to the infirmary waiting room. I have an update on Dick's condition. A giant grin threatened to tear Dick's face as he said,

"That's a bit mean. They're all gonna think i'm dead or something." The words were contradictory but his tone was that of a more playful feeling. A smile broke its way through the years of training and appeared on the caped crusader's face,

"I can do what I want. I'm Batman."

Artemis was on the verge of falling into a fitful sleep when her com buzzed to life, shocking the breath out of her.

'Batman to Team:Report to the infirmary waiting room. I have an update on Dicks condition.'

Dread filled her stomach and clouded her mind as she raced down the hall at a speed Wally would have been proud of. Unsurprisingly, when she reached the waiting room the only other occupant was Wally West, who was perched on the edge of the bench, nawing down on his already raw finger nails. His head turned sharply in her direction when he realised that she was in the room, and he locked eyes with her, both pairs filled with fear and anticipation. Slowly, and with shaking legs, she stumbled across the floor and sat her self down next to him, resting her head in her hands. No words were needed between the two teens as they sat there waiting for the rest of the team to arrive. And they did; Aqualad first and then Superboy and Miss Martian together, all at various levels of distress. Artemis could tell it was a bit much for the Martian girl, the combined emotion of the room's inhabitants seemed to be overwhelming her. The clone beside her caught Artemis's expression and pulled the telepath into a hug, resting her head on his shoulder.

What seemed like hours passed before a black gloved hand peeked out from around the pure white door. Batman's face, as always, was devoid of emotion as he stepped to the side in silence and gestured to the open door. Wally and Artemis lept to their feet in an instant and were the through the door before anyone else could comprehend what the Dark Knight was saying. When the rest of team joined them they were instantly as confused as the archer and speedster. The bed that Dick had been in was empty. Other than them, the room seemed devoid of human presence. Then, suddenly, a loud cackle resounded around the room and a small figure vaulted over Artemis's shoulders and landed gracefully infront of them all.
"Well, I wake up from a coma and I don't even get a hug?"
Artemis launched her self at him, tackling the 13 year old in a bone crushing hug before pulling back with a glare on her face and tears in her eyes.
"RICHARD JOHN GRAYSON! IF YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN I WILL WAKE YOU UP SO THAT I  CAN KILL YOU MYSELF FOR BEING AN IDIOT. I couldn't live with my self if you *sob* had *sob* died! You... you dimwit..."
A slender hand wrapped its way around her and gently stoked her back,
"Hey shhh Arty! I'm fine see, I woke up and I'm never going to leave again."
"Promise"
"Promise. Te iubesc"
"Te iubesc"
When Artemis finally let him go he was greeted by the sight of Wally West standing infront of him, hands on his hips. Before he could prepare himself for another yelling, the older boy had engulfed him in a hug. After a while Dick felt something wet hit his shoulder.
"Oh don't you start crying on me too Walls."
Said speedster pulled back.
"Seriously dude, I thought you were going to die! Never do that again bro!"
Dick grinned,
"You heard me before, i'm never leaving again!"

Bruce watched from the doorway with a happy smile as his soon to be son was trapped in the middle of a ginormous group hug with his friends. Well, hopefully his soon to be teammates.....

Ooooooh! Cliffhanger! I hoped you liked that! I know it's short but I'm in bed and I don't know about you but I like sleep. A lot! Anyway, comment what you think Bruce means when he says that Dicks friends are gonna be his teammates! Say what his superhero name will be and what you think the mission could be!
