Your science teacher was droning on about this stupid project you had to do for your final grade. It sounded incredibly hard, at least it was a partner activity or else you would be screwed. You caught the glance at your friend julia and gave her the thumbs up. Hopefully you two would be partnered up though it probably wasn't going to happen. The teacher Mr.Simons hated both you and Julia for talking every chance you got. It wasn't really your guys's fault that he was so boring and socializing instead of listen to him lecturing about photosynthesis for an hour was the way to go.
You doodled on a sheet of lined paper until you heard your name. "Y/n, Sherlock, and John" Mr.Simons said and began to list off more names "Julia, James, and Leo..." You stopped listening and julia gave you an "I'm sorry" face. Sherlock and John couldn't be that bad, Sherlock was really smart but everyone made fun of him. They called him freak. John seemed like a nice guy, he was kind of cute and played rugby. Mr.Simons told us to find our partners and that we would be working with them for the rest of the year. You walk over to Sherlock and John. "Hello" you say a friendly smile plastered on your face. Sherlock glances at you and rolls his eyes. John smiles and says "sorry about him he's a pain" and kicks Sherlock under the table. "I don't care John I only work alone I don't want to work with other people" Sherlock groans. "Uh" I start.
Sherlock holds up a hand "no don't even speak y/n l/n. Don't speak you're going to call me a freak and I don't need this" he sighs and looks out the window. "Sherlock!" John practically yells. Already off to a great start!
" I wasn't going to call you a freak Sherlock Holmes because your not your just an arsehole" You spit back.
You don't really mind him that much and defiantly didn't think he was a freak at all, but the sassy comeback was enough to catch Sherlock off guard.
"Fine"
Johns gives me a small smile "yes he is always like this"
This is going to be a hell of a year in science.
