I don't really know why, but I ran after him. Maybe it was because I was curious, or maybe it was because I wanted to make sure that he really existed. And that I hadn't just gone insane.

I ran as fast as I can. But the darkness... I was practically blind.

I don't know how long I ran. If it was seconds or minutes. But my feets eventually stopped. I stopped to catch my breath, and to think.

What did I just see? No... It's not "what" but "who".

But maybe I didn't see anything at all. Maybe it was just my eyes playing me a trick... No. No it was not. He is just as real as I am. But I can't find him. It's like he vanished into thin air.

What am I even doing? I just left my sister, alone. I sighed. I'm not really a good sister.

I turned around and started walking back to my little camp.

After a while of walking did I realise... That I don't recognize this part of the sewer. I've never been here before, which means that I'm lost. The fear started to spread through my entire body like a poison.

If I got lost in here... No one, but my sister, would know. No one would be able to rescue me. And what if my sister tried to find me? She'd get so worried and afraid. Maybe she'd also get lost...

I turned around and kept walking. Then I started running. But it was hopeless. I was lost. Lost like a paper in the wind. Or like a human in the sewers.

My breathing escalated. The thought of being captured here in this smelly darkness forever made it hard to breathe. I leaned against the wall and sank to the ground. My head rested in my knees. Madisons face flashed before my eyes.

I'm not lost.
I'm not lost.
I'm totally lost.

"Look, you need to calm down. Like, right now." I recognize that voice. I raised my head and looked around, but I didn't see him. But I did see a sihoulette in the darkness.

I tried to figure out who, or what, I was looking at. But even though I didn't know the guy, it was nice to know that I'm not alone. But for all I know he could be a pschyko.

"You're lost, aren't you?" It feelt as if he was mocking me. I shook my head and stood up.

"Of course not." I said in a firm, but polite voice.

"Whatever you say." It could be heard on his voice that he didn't belive me. But for now I ignored that.

"Why are you standing in the shadows? Trying to be cool or something?"

"I don't need to try to be cool. I'm already cool." That sneaky lizard was trying to avoid my question.

"You can come out of the shadows." It was quit for a while. I almost thought that he'd left when I suddenly heard a quit voice.

"No, I can't."

"Why not?"

"I don't want to scare you." He admitted. He sounded like he didn't care, but underneath the tough guy act could I hear that he truly didn't wanna scare me.

"You're not really that scary." I lied and took a careful step closer. To be honest, it did kinda scare me. I don't know anything about him. Not even what he is. But I'm not scared of... Him. I'm more scared of not knowing.

He didn't answer for a while. But then he stepped ot of the shadows.

I looked up at the green creature before me. He was a bit taller than me. And bigger too. He wasn't fat or anything, he was just... Bigger. Muscles, I guess. But what I couldn't take my eyes of where his eyes. They were completely green. And it was as if they were shining in the dark. Almost like flashlights.

"Are you a lizard?" I asked without thinking and tilted my head. He frowned and crossed his arms.

"Are you blind? I'm a turtle."
