You were a popular girl who didnt want to be popular. Dont believe me? Well, you were a very shy and awkward girl who was smart and great at music. Usually that doesn't make you popular, that makes you a nerd, dork, or geek. But, for your misfortune, two girls saw you were what boys would call 'foxy'. So, they used your looks to not only make you popular, but to make them more popular. Today you had to wear something that matched your dyed hair, which was red (if you have red hair, plz roll with) because the girls thought you'd be a great red head.

Your heels clicked down the hall as you kept your head down. You were so scared of everything. Everyone's thoughts, opinions, ideas, everything. You kept your textbooks close to your chest as you passed Goth and his little gang. Goth was your crush but you thought he didn't like a girl like you. You were pretending to be someone else for others, you hated it so much. "Val! There you are gurl!" Oh yeah. 'Val' was your nickname. "Hi Destiny. Hey Sapphire." You replied, walking up to your two 'friends'. "Luv the beanie gurl! Did you go to Target or Macy's?" Destiny asked, you paused.
The beanie was from your grandmother, she spent four hours knitting it since she had diabetes. "Uh.. I.. uh... forget the store's name. I'll tell ya when I remember." You replied, Destiny and Sapphire rolled with it and started to gossip with you. "So... I heard PJ likes that nerd Fresh. I mean. Oh. My. Gawd!" "I know gurl! I mean, talk about gay!" You weren't listening, you were glancing at Goth. He seemed so... tough. Cool. Chilled. "Yo! Val! Ya listening?" "H-huh?!" You snapped to attention as Destiny and Sapphire looked at you with dirty looks.
"Ugh. Forget it. See ya at math Val." You sighed Destiny left with Sapphire. You turned around and almost walked into Goth. "Oh! G-goth!" You exclaimed, clutching the text books. "Hey (y/n). I was wondering if you'd... like to study with me tonight?" Goth asked shyly, you nodded quickly before Goth gave you his number. "I'll be waiting for you at the foot ball field." "Ok Goth. Bye." You watched Gith leave as a HUGE part of you just wanted to dance around and party. You kept your cool before going to LA with Mr. Night.
- Time skip to lunch -
You walked towards your usual table, Destiny and Sapphire's table, when you saw tons of other girls there. You walked away and headed outside, usually you weren't allowed to eat outside but, you didn't have anywhere else to sit. You dropped your bag on a cement step and sat down with your lunch on your lap. You sighed and started to take out the large hoop ear rings that always hurted your ears, next you took off the millions of bracelets you wore that always pitched your skin.
Last, you took off your heels and kicked them off to the side. Unknown to you, Goth also ate out here. Goth walked out with his food when he heard crying, he walked around until he saw you curled up, all your unnecessary accessories and lunch on your right side. Your knees were close to your chest as your forehead rested on the knee caps. Your hands were covering your head as you cried and whimpered. "(Y/n)?" You gasped, you turned around and saw Goth with his lunch. "Huh, G-Goth..?" Goth walked over and placed his lunch next to yours.
"What happened?" "High school happened, that's what." You picked up your bracelets and ear rings before Goth placed his hand on yours. "(Y/n). I'm serious. What happened?" Goth asked with a serious, yet concerned face. You sighed and thought. "I.. I hate pretending. I don't want to be popular but, you know since I'm so 'foxy', I'm oh so God damn f*ucking POPULAR!" Goth was slightly surprised at how you cursed, you had never cursed before. Well. At least not in front of him. Goth knew you were speaking your mind now, you meant everything now.
"I... I just can't take it. I.. I really just... hate it." You shoved your bracelets and ear rings into your zipper pocket of your bag as Goth handed you the heeled boots. "(Y/n), you don't need to pretend." You looked at Goth with your big (e/c). Goth and Paulette broke up after Paulette cheated on Goth with some foot ball jock named Michel. Was this your chance? Could you make a move? "Tomorrow, I want you to wear what you'd wear on daily basis. Ok?" "O..Ok Goth..." Goth moved his hand gently to your cheek and pecked your lips gently.
You had a huge blush as Goth picked up his lunch and went back inside. You smiled and started to eat, you felt new inside. The next day you wore (style), at first, Destiny and Sapphire were confused until that same day, you took the dye out of your hair before lunch, most kids were whispering about your new look. Goth was happy that you showed your real colors. You even proved that you were leaving Destiny and Sapphire by giving them the 'finger' in front the school, you even flipped your hair and walked away like a boss. Yeah. YOU did that. Damn.
"I'm proud of you." Goth whispered as he was walking you to math. "Oh shut up and kiss me, you dork." You teased playfully, Goth smiled before lifting your chin up slightly. Yeah. He was teasing. You smirked and just kissed him, Goth kissed back as the first bell rang. You both pulled away before walking away. The real you was here. You saw Paulette with his(?) mouth wide open. You shrugged and walked into the room before smirking at Destiny and Sapphire, yeah. They knew you left them for good.
