(Yes I know Grillby isn't a Sans. I just saw a comic and decided to make a Grillby x Depressed! Reader story, ok? Ok.)

You were at Grillby's after a rough day of lab work, ambassador meetings, and life in general. You had your arms folded over the counter with your head resting on them. The bags under your eyes showed that you either haven't slept in a while or haven't been sleeping properly. You were sore all over and just ready to burst. Luckily, Grillby's was usually quiet on a (fav season) day like this. Grillby handed you a soda as you stared into space.

It was almost closing time and monsters were leaving as you stayed on your usual stool. "H..hey Grillbz?" Grillby looked over at you as you slowly lifted your head. "Y..you.. know how we bo..both work ha..hard? I..it's po..pointl..pointless..." Grillby walked over as you shook and shivered, you had small tears streaming down your face. "Do...does it all ma..matter? Wh..what's The point o..of all of th..this? Aren't we all go...gonna die some..so..someday?"

Grilling gave you a small frown as you started to lose yourself, more tears poured from your eyes as your hands shook wildly. "Ar..aren't we? Aren't we just gonna die where no..nothing ma..ma..matters?!" Grillby walked around the counter and sat in Sans's spot. He watched you as you really lost yourself. You buried your face into your (f/c) hoodie sleeves.

Grillby opened up his phone and called Toriel as you sobbed into your arms. You were sniffling by the time Grillby hung up. You felt a warm hand rubbing your back slowly and gently. "Th..thanks Grillbz..." "...you're welcome (y/n)..." Grillby kept rubbing your back as you started to calm down and regain yourself. There was a knock on the door before you let out a sad chuckle. "Welp. I got a momster to deal with now... heh... Bye Grillbz." Grillby grabbed your arm with a firm grip but a gentle touch before he somehow kissed you.

You blush was redder than ketchup as Grillby pulled away. "Bye." Grillby went around the counter and started to clean the usual cup. You rushed out the door, where Toriel and Sand waited to take you home. You couldn't stop thinking about Grillby before you smiled. Maybe things could get better with a little light.

(Ok, it is ironic that I do this after I posted that pic. Geez.)
