Aiden and Chase had left to go rent an old, basic looking car just in case the Spanish guys got suspicious. Obviously Aiden didn't have one, first world problems, so they left me and Zaria at the apartment.
She was mixing her lil poison thing on the table so I decided to leave her to it since I ain't tryna die today.
I grabbed a left over slice of pizza and took out my phone. I peeped a text from my mom so I swiped left to unlock it.

Mi madre:
Jules, I know something is up, I checked the CCTV, is Justin ok? Are you ok? Should I do anything? Call me when you get this ❤️

I instantly clicked the call button, the last thing I needed was a worried mom.
"Hey mom," I started.
"Julia! Thank god you're alright, is everything good?"
"Yeah mom it's fine, those people were just some friends," I lied.
"How did the case go?" She questioned, dismissing all worries she had over the CCTV.
"We won mom, he's behind bars," I smiled slightly, knowing it would make her proud.
"Ahh my baby girl, see you didn't need my help after all, I can't believe you're l grown up and did it," I could hear the happiness in her voice which warmed my heart and lifted my mood the tiniest bit.
"Thanks mom,"
"I still remember when me, you and dad went to Italy for the holidays, we went to that tiny village? God I don't think you'd remember, there was white sand and blue water, the smell of fresh sea food and we made you try sardines and you ate them all up thinking they were tiny, silver gummy bears. God it was so beautiful,"
I smiled hard, I loved it when she spoke of us 3, being a family and fun memories she had of us. I was obviously too young to remember almost of them, but it gave me comfort knowing it happened.
Just then Aiden and Chase barged into the apartment.
"Mom, I have to go sorry, I love you," I hurriedly said, not wanting Aiden to know I've been speaking to her.
"I love you too, honey,"
And just like that the call was over.
"Took you long," Zaria huffed.
"Let's Go, you ready?" Aiden spoke fast.
"Why are you in such a rush?" I peered over at Chase who was tying his shoe lace, his hand bloodied.
"Explain on the way?" Aiden answered, "Zaria for fucks sake, are you ready or not?"
She stood up and groaned.
"Yes I'm mf ready, don't treat me like one of your hoes!"
I internally laughed to myself, seeing as she was one of his hoes, but I wasn't about to stir the tea we had lives to save.
Aiden dove into the passengers seat and I took the wheel, Zaria sat in the back of the black masterati and Chase tailed behind us in an old, rusty white Ford.
"The ride is not cute," Zaria mumbled, tightly gripping the box with all the food ingredients in. She poisoned the rice, vegetables, meat, and fruit. With Chase's a1 cooking he was sure to think of something fancy to whip up for the mafios, before they take a bite and die.
I was driving down the same road I drove the day before, towards the huge mf mansion.
All the while Aiden was assembling his silent proof gun, cleaning it, counting bullets. I could tell he was scared.
"Guys I just want to thank you," I mumbled, pulling up into the field next to the mansion, behind a large tree to hide us.
Chase pulled up next to us, he got out the car as did we. Chase walked over to us.
"Don't mention it," Zaria said to me before handing Chase the box, "don't try any of those unless you want to die," she told him firmly, "1 bite and you'll be out,".
"Jheeze I definitely won't," Chase eyed the box.
"Don't forget to turn your cam and mic on before you knock on the door," Aiden reminded him.
Chase nodded.
"Good luck," I mumbled, catching a few seconds of those leafy, green eyes.
"Thank you Jules," he placed the box in the passengers seat and drove off to park outside the mansion.
The 3 of us got back in the car.
Aiden switched on his iPad, instantly getting a clear visual and decent audio from the cam and mic hidden on Chase's tie.
We all sat in silence, nervously waiting for everything to go as planned.
At first a large, tall guy opened the door asking Chase what the hell he wanted.
Chase said exactly what we rehearsed. That he was a young chef just out of uni with cooking qualifications and wanting to work as a private chef for someone. That he specialised in Mediterranean cuisine and that he's like to cook a free meal just to show what he's capable of.
The large guy laughed at him first of all but as soon as he heard free meal, he called over another guy.
This guy was just as big, but his muscles were way more packed, he had slits in his eyebrows and a scar right down the whole left side of his face, he was wearing a white tank and so exposing all the ink and tattoos he had covering his torso and arms.
He nodded quickly and the first guy stepped aside, allowing Chase to make his way in.
I sighed out of relief.
"First step complete," Aiden muttered.
From what the cam showed us, the inside of the house was way more simple than we expected. The furniture was minimal and the colours were bland, but there were men in every corner, playing cards or drinking beer, the two guys led Chase through to the kitchen.
Along the way we didn't see any signs of Justin or Jeff.
For the next agonisingly long, hot hour we watched from the stuffy car as Chase chopped his mf onions and grilled the deadly chicken.
Even Zaria admitted that she was getting hungry watching it, and she's the one who poisoned the goddamn food.
Finally, Chase served up around 5 plates of delicious looking food, and placed them neatly on the counter.
The two men called over a few other boys to join them.
"Shit we're not going to get all of them," I mumbled.
"That's why I'm here," Aiden gripped his machine gun and got out of the car, quietly closing the door. He started to move quickly towards the house.
