The Lizard Man

Three long years now had past
In the old dungeon cold
The dark magic guards cast

The man deformed and scaled
His cellmate screamed in pain
The lizard genes unveiled

Slowly the friends died
Pondering their cruel fate
Revenge stirred inside

Bitter hate filled his mind
His deep sorrow faded
Now a hot rage confined

Refusing to eat or sleep
Then deranged with sharp rocks
He cut in his flesh deep

The beast drawn
Control
Gone

The lizard man swung mad
And killed his old cellmate
The only friend he had

The stiff dead he consumed
The corpse he knew not
Soon the man resumed

His humanness returned
With it a pale shock came
The dark spells worked, he learned

Agony firmly gripped
And overtook the man
Once more, guards stripped and whipped

Now chained fast to the floor
For his torture trial
As countless times before

But this time he had passed
After three years he now
Knew the dark spells at last!

His heart shuttered
His experiment now
Foul magic he uttered

He made his curse his own
The raging beast awoke
But he was not alone

The true princess did stare
In the corner hidden
Forbidden to be there

The lizard man tore up
And gored the evil guards
On their sweet bones did sup

Escaping through the night
He spurred rebellion
And a revenge for his plight

His mad terror ran red
Anger is a monster
It leaves us cold and dead
