The memorial parade for Cami and Davina was going on in the French Quarter, with slow, mournful jazz music playing.
Everyone went, in their best funeral attire, including Klaus, Elijah and Hayley.
After the parade, Marcel, Kol, Josh and I went to Lafayette Cemetery, standing at Davina's elevated grave.
I was giving them a speech. "Say not in grief, that she is no more, but be thankful that she ever was. And though she was taken far too soon, may her enduring light show us a way through this darkness." I chuckled sadly, bitterly. "Let us mourn, because we cannot move on until we do. And though the pain may at times seem like more than we can bear... make no mistake. We will move on. Yeah, even now the words of Ecclesiastics are ringing in my ears. They're saying, 'Vengeance, as a lion, shall lie in wait for them'."
"A while ago..." Josh trailed off, chuckling sadly. "I told Davina a story about my first boyfriend... But what I didn't tell her was that... I had never shared that story with anyone else. She was a best friend to me. And I loved her."
Kol looked down, tears in his eyes, angry and devastated. "I wish that..." He couldn't find the words to say. "Uh... I'm sorry. I can't."
Kol sniffled.
Marcel took a note out of his pocket, with his written eulogy, thinking for a moment, putting it away. "Words aren't any good. The Mikaelsons need to answer for this. I'm gonna make them answer." I looked at him in confusion and concern. Marcel put a hand on Davina's headstone. "I promise."
Marcel walked away, leaving.

Marcel and I were standing in his loft, still in our funeral clothes.
I poured alcohol in a glass. "It's been a long time since I indulged in the binge drinking, but I am drowning my sorrows, so cheers."
I took a long drink.
Marcel walked toward me in concern, knowing that I was starting to spiral, putting a hand on my arm. "Hey, you should slow down."
"Maybe you should slow down," I told him. "Hey, how about that little declaration of war you made this morning? Yeah, you might want to pump the brakes on that plan because, the Mikaelsons? They aren't exactly known for letting bygones be bygones."
"Maybe I don't care," Marcel told me. "Maybe it's the Mikaelsons who need to worry about me."
Marcel pulled out a bottle of red liquid.
I looked at him cautiously. "Is that..."
"Lucien's serum," Marcel answered.
"And how did you get that?" I asked.
"Vincent extracted it from Aurora's heart and gave it to me," Marcel answered.
I rolled my eyes at this answer, sighing. "Oh, okay. So, you're gonna die soon, too. Well, that's good to know. I'll make sure I get this dress cleaned stat."
"This'll make sure I can't die," Marcel told me.
"Marcel, if you take that, you will be the last thing on earth that can kill a Mikaelson," I told him. "That's an open declaration of war. I mean, how'd that work out for Lucien, huh? And you know what? Best case scenario, what are you going to do? Hmm? You gonna kill all of them? Klaus, Elijah, Freya, Kol? Yeah, he's mad at them now, but when push comes to shove, even Hayley chooses them over you. So, are you really going to take down everyone?"
"Why are you against this, Auria?" Marcel asked. "You lost everything because of them."
"Because I don't want to lose you, too," I answered. "My best friend and a girl that has been like a daughter to both of us are dead. I lost Regency, and the witches, and most of my power. I can't lose you, too, Marcel. Please, don't do this."
