It had been six months since I, Auria Rayvnne, became the Regent of New Orleans.
Since Klaus Mikaelson had handed the keys to the vampire kingdom to Marcel Gerard.
So, we were ruling separately, over the vampires and the witches, and trying to keep the peace.
Which was easier said than done.
Marcel had turned St. Anne's Church into a gym.
I was in Lafayette Cemetery during the sunshine, walking along.
Marcel walked toward me. "Hey."
"Hey," I told him. "What are you doing here? The deal with the witches is that vampires aren't supposed to be in the cemetery."
"I know," Marcel told me. "I just needed to talk to you. Elijah has been hounding me."
"You, too?" I asked. "Join the club."
"If you can just reverse the Crescent spell that Klaus had Dahlia place on the wolves, including Hayley, then he'll leave you alone," Marcel told me. "And, I know, I know, the rules state that you don't do favors for vampires, but..."
"An act of good faith will help keep the peace, and I'm trying to convince the Ancestors that," I told him. "Freya doesn't have the power she needs to undo the curse herself, and I won't be able to get access to it until they let me." I sighed, looking around. "I'll keep trying. But I can't guarantee any promises."
Marcel nodded in understanding. "I know. Thank you."
I nodded.

Cami O'Connell and I were in the French Quarter, walking down the street together to where several police cars parked with their red and blue lights flashing.
"Okay, the thing you gotta understand is me and all the PD have a relationship that goes back to a few drunk and disorderlies and noise complaints from parties," I told her. "I'm their expert in anything that even seems occult. And every so often, they come across the aftermath of some black magic, and they call me in."
We walked into a nearby alley.
A male detective named Will Kinney walked toward us. "Is this your friend the shrink?" Cami looked overwhelmed. I nodded. "Fantastic." Will offered his hand to Cami. Cami shook it. "Will Kinney. Detective, homicide."
"Cami O'Connell," Cami told him. "Bartender, part-time shrink..." She looked around the crime scene with a confused smile. "Why am I here?"
Will frowned worriedly, turning to me. "Auria, show her the body. See if she can do what you said she can do."
Will walked away, leaving.
Cami looked at me in confusion, giving me a look as if to ask, are you kidding me?
