Lucien had attacked Cami at her apartment.

Lucien had bitten Cami.

Cami had escaped, making her way to the compound.

Elijah led me into the compound where Klaus, Freya, Hayley and Cami were sitting.

"We're gonna do everything that we can, Cami," Hayley told her.

"To that end, a little assistance," Elijah told them.

"Cami, I'm so sorry," I told her guiltily.

"You should be," Klaus told me. "This is your fault. It was you who turned Lucien into a beast."

Klaus stood, walking toward me.

Elijah stood in Klaus' way, placing a hand on his shoulder to stop him.

"Klaus, stop," Cami told him. "It's not Auria's fault."

"Cami's right," Hayley told us. "We all need to work together to fix this."

"Yeah, yeah, I think I know how to fix this," Klaus told us. "Lucien has always been obsessed with me. He made himself like me. My bite is cured by my blood."

"Do you think his blood can save her?" Hayley asked.

"It makes sense," Elijah told us. "Lucien would want that power."

"Allowing him to lord himself over his victims," Klaus told us.

"Okay, so we got a working theory," I told them. "Now, we gotta test it."

"Lucien's blood is all over my apartment," Cami told us. "I sliced him all to hell before I ran."

"Okay, I got this one," I told them. 'Lucien's got no reason to be on the lookout for me."

I walked out, leaving.

I was walking through the Quarter on my way to Cami's apartment, calling Marcel.

"What is it, Auria? You okay?"

"No. Marcel, we have a situation. Lucien went after Cami. Now, she managed to get away, but he bit her."

"What? Is she-?"

"No, no, no, she's still alive. Klaus is with her at the compound. I'm headed to Cami's apartment to get some of Lucien's blood in hopes that it can cure the bite."

"I'll meet you there."

"Be careful, all right? Lucien could be anywhere."

I hung up, upset at the news of Cami's condition.

I was at Cami's apartment. I was kneeling on the floor, lighting candles in order to prepare for a spell using Lucien's blood, the dark object star lying aside on the floor. I heard someone approach me from behind, jumping, turning to see Marcel.

"Don't worry," Marcel told me. "It's just me. I came to watch your back."

"You mean to protect me from a beast," I told him sadly in guilt and regret, self-loathing. "As Klaus reminded me today, a beast I created."

Marcel knelt next to me worriedly, placing a hand on my back. "Hey, it is not your fault. You can't be held accountable for the things that the Ancestors made you do. They nearly killed you to get that spell done." I looked away, tears in my eyes. Marcel knew why I was so upset. "How is she?"
