Chapter 6
Dally's POV
The next day I took the gal to the store. She was going to be staying with me at Buck's for a while, so she was going to need some clothes and stuff until we figured out where she was going to go. She had been to tons of stores, but hadn't found the "perfect outfit". Whatever that means.
Damn, she's fine. I thought. But I can't have a relationship. I'm Dallas fucking Winston and I don't need a girl. Plus, what would ever posses a doll like that to want a guy like me, huh?
"Hey- Winston!" My thoughts were interrupted by Caitlin snapping her fingers in my face, trying to get my attention.
"What?" I said focussing on her. "Hot damn."
"You like it?"
"... I.... Woah." She gave a small smile still looking up at me. She had on a pair of dark denim skinny jeans, and a pink Tshirt with a zipper up the side, stopping at her ribs. "You know what it needs though?"
"What?" She asked, her smile dropping slightly. I walked up the aisles of the store, grabbing a hanger I had seen earlier. I went over to her and put it on over her shirt.
"There. Look in the mirror." I spun her around to face the big mirror on the wall outside of the change rooms.
"Woah." She said studying her reflection. "I look like you!" She now had on a black leather jacket, with pockets on the sides, and a collar with fleece surrounding her neck. Her excitement was cuter than anything I had ever seen before. Cute? What the hell Dal, get it together.
"You know, I could get used to this new look. It's smokin' on you."
"I love it." She said pulling me over to the mirror. We stood side by side, comparing ourselves. I have to admit, it was pretty cool. She held out her hand "Gimme your smokes."
"Why?" I asked confused.
"Just trust me." I took out the pack and handed them to her. She took out two and lit them handing one two me. Then she pulled her hair back, and I swear, it was like having a mini-me. It was the strangest thing, and we couldn't control our laughter.
"HEY!" A voice behind the register yelled. "No smoking in the store!"
Cait's POV
"That was fun." I said, as we walked into Dally's room.
"Yeah, we'll do it again sometime." I smiled at the thought. He was absolutely gorgeous, and super cool, but he wasn't for me. He just seemed like... trouble. Besides, I'm ugly, and he's, well, Dallas.
I threw my purse in the floor with a thud, and looked over to Dally, lying on the bed with his eyes closed. He seemed to sense me looking at him, as he said "Come here." motioning towards the bed. I walked over, gingerly sitting on the edge of the bed next to him.
Dally's POV
I don't know what possessed me to do it but I did. I wrapped my arm around her waist, pulling her up onto the bed, and holding her next to me.
"What was that for?" She said, giggling.
"You need to rest."
"With you?" She asked, a smirk in her voice.
"Especially with me." I wrapped both arms around her, pulling her closer, her back to me. She seemed uncomfortable at first, but after a moment cuddled her head into my arm. Her light snoring minutes later told me how tired she really was.
Shit Dallas. What are you doing? She's gonna play along, get you to love her, and dump you like the street trash you are.
I growled at my thoughts, pushing them away as I let my eyes close.
Just one night, I told myself.
Just one.
