Emma sighed to herself as she looked at her partying college friends, one of the guys had a big house party and he had decided to invite her too for one reason or another. "Hey, want one too?" Jace asked her while he lit up a cigaret, but Emma quickly held up her hand, "No thanks, I don't smoke.." "Ah come on, you could try at least?" Jace continued, moving far too close to her. "Don't fucking touch me" Emma sneered at him, before pushing him away. She exited the living room and entered the hallway, taking out her phone to call Jerry. "Hey honey, what's wrong?" "Can you come pick me up from the address I'll text you in a sec?" "Sure, are you in trouble?" "No, just made the stupid decision to come to a house party" She answered, hearing him laugh at the other end of the line. "I'll be there as soon as I can" "Kay, it's a 15 minute drive I think" She told him before hanging up, texting him a link of google maps to the address. She wrapped her arms around her chest as she pushed the front door open, trying to get through the dancing crowd. She finally reached the gate to the street and closed it behind her, letting out a deep breath to calm her anxiety, she hated crowded places. She turned to the street when she heard a motorcycle, a smile forming on her face as Jerry took his helmet of, letting his black hair down before running his fingers through it. "Hi" She chuckled at him, before wrapping her arms around his neck to press a soft kiss on his lips. "Hey" He answered with a grin when she pulled away, making her chuckle again as she took the helmet from his hand. She took a seat behind him and let her black hair down from her ponytail to put the helmet on, rolling the elastic band around her wrist before wrapping her arms around his waist and letting her head rest on his back. She looked at the city lights flashing by, billions of stars covering the night sky. They got home pretty quickly as she got off and walked over to the front door. Emma searched her pocket for the keys before taking them out, fumbling to find the right one to open the front door. Jerry finished parking his motor and walked over to her, Emma holding the front door open with her back. He placed his hand on it to let her walk inside and closed it behind him, letting himself fall on the couch with a sigh. "You have a night shift right?" Emma asked as she hang her coat up, before starting on her shoes. "Yeah, I slept when you were at school" He answered, letting his head hang over the edge of the couch to look at the tv. She walked over to the couch and kneeled down on the ground, making Jerry lay his head back down on the couch. "I'm gonna go to bed, how late will you be back tomorrow?" "Around 9 am I think" He answered, placing his hand on her cheek before tracing his thumb over her bottom lip. She wrapped her hand around his wrist before leaning in to kiss him deeply, "Good luck at work" "Goodnight Emma" He answered with a smile, holding her hand for as long he could before she walked out of reach. Emma grabbed his blouse from the chair before taking off her clothes, slipping the blouse over her head. She lifted the covers and got into bed with a sigh, she hated sleeping alone. She sat up again to turn the light off before laying down on her side, staring into the darkness before closing her eyes

A cold hand slowly ran over Emma's cheek, but she couldn't register it completely as she was still too enveloped in her deep sleep. The demon let a long breath escape through his teeth, before leaning over the young girl. "Mh, wake up little thing" He spoke, his voice not more than a whisper in the cold air around him. He looked at the small clouds escaping from her slightly parted lips, before her eyes finally started to open as fear struck her. Emma tried to move her arms to push the demon away from her, not being able to see what he was by the hood covering his head. A boney hand moved up and pulled the hood down, revealing the face of a boy around her age, his black hair framing his humanoid face. He was made completely out of black smoke and only his face could take on his old human look, but his eyes were still the color red. "Here, I'll let you speak, but please don't scream" The demon spoke, moving his skeleton hand over her mouth. Emma coughed loudly before gasping for air, feeling a heavy pressure on her chest by the cold. "W-why are you here?" She managed to say, making the demon grin down at her. "To take you away from this world, but do not worry dear, you've done no wrong, we just need one of the purest souls" The demon spoke, finally daring to place his hand on her shoulder. Emma couldn't take her eyes off of him before nodding, making the demon furrow his brows at her. "Take me with you then, I have nothing to lose here" She answered him, hating the fact she said it but deep down she knew it was the truth. The demon's mouth opened slightly in shock before he regained himself, "As you wish, dear" He spoke with the smallest hint of a grin, letting her have a bit of body strength back. The demon's arms slid under her body before lifting her out of bed, Emma wrapping his arms around his shoulders, feeling nothing but bone under his long black robes. She noticed he didn't walk either, but levitated a few inches from the ground instead. Emma closed her eyes as they passed through the portal, opening them again to see they ended up on a dirt road. Her eyes followed it to see the path lead to a large dark castle, red lights emitting from it, making Emma assume it was from fire. "No one will hurt you, everyone who is with Azazel will do everything to protect you from any sort of pain" The demon spoke, "Azazel?" Emma weakly asked. "You'll meet him soon" "Who are you then?" She asked, the demon still holding her tightly as he followed the dirt path. "I am Axel, but I'm simply a retriever of souls" He told her, using one of his hands to pull his hood up again before returning it to her body.
