poems in the dark

She sobbed , her body trembling
She weeped sounding tears of poetry
The poetry of her heart's lamentations
The poetry of her spirit's dark nostalgia
Dimmed by the gloom that swallowed her whole
Each tear a verse
Each sob a stanza
Each night a page
Her dark room was the table she wrote her  story
The dark ink symbolised her tainted purity and tarnished hope
The messy writing, a show for her deranged soul
Hidden meanings locked away in her heart
For no one was to know of the poems she wrote in the dark
