Is it the chest pains when you see your ex with some girl at the cafe you used to go to
Or the crack in your heart when his voice echoed "it's over"
How about how quickly he moved on from your existence
It must be the happy play fighting that's been reduced to nothing but a distant memory
Or the way your heart winces when another person tries to hold you
How about the way sugar was transformed to salt
Is love the phenomenon of sweet to bitter
Could it be safe to say love is the possibility of bitter to sweet
He said he loved you yet he did you wrong
Your heart was fond of him and thought he was the right one
So then now did he do love
Or did you feel love
Perhaps love did you and love felt him
Would it be fair though but how can we know if love is but an idealised theory
It exists somehow yet sometimes it doesn't
I ask again
