Y/N's POV

Four days had passed, and I was still thinking about the day I met Phil; and every time I thought about these moments, the memory of him became a bit more blurry.

I had reached 100.000 subscribers and wanted to film a video in order to celebrate: my roommate Kayla was telling me some possible video ideas.

"What about a what's in my bag?" She asked, as she leaned against my white chest of drawers. I was on my bed, with my laptop on my legs.

I turned to her and squinted. "You know I'll never do one of those beauty gurus videos, I can't even put eyeshadow on" I continued to read my mails while talking. "Also my bag is full of books and pens, nobody cares about that".

"Yeah that's true" She fiddled with her curly brown hair. "What about a baking video? The one you did a couple of months ago was really good. I loved it" Her eyes lit up. "And I could help! You know I'm really good at cooking, and you're not" She added, looking extremely excited. I ignored her comment about me being horrible at cooking.

"That's a good idea actually" I closed my laptop without turning it off. "but what can we bake? I don't really want to go outside to buy the ingredients" I stood up and went to the kitchen, followed by Kayla. I started rummaging in the drawers and in the fridge.

"What about Christmas cookies? It's almost Christmas so it's perfect. Also they're really easy and we should have all the ingredients" She said taking flour and sugar and putting them on the table.

"Yeah that's perfect. I'll go and search some recipes" I want back to my room and opened my laptop. I closed the mail I was reading and as I was closing the mail box I noticed there was a message I hadn't read yet. I sat down on my bed and opened it.

To: Y/N Y/S  (Y/S = your surname)

Dear Y/N Y/S, as a talent agency, we would be pleased to be your management, since your youtube channel is having amazing success. If you do not know about us, the link below will readdress you to our website, where you will find more information about us. If you are interested to meet us, reply with an email and we will arrange a meeting as soon as possible.

I immediately clicked on the link of the website. I had had a request from another agency back in Italy, but I had to refuse: I was going to move to London a couple of weeks after. The first image that popped up when the site opened was a photo of Dan and Phil.

Holy shit. Why does Dan and Phil's management want to represent me? Weren't there more successful channels than mine? I didn't know what to do. Should I reply? Maybe, but what do I tell them? Do I really want to have a management and, possibly, expand my youtube hobby into a possible career? All of this question were popping up into my head. I completely forgot I had to film with Kayla, who came back into my room and found me looking at the screen with eyes wide open.

"Y/N, what happened?" She asked, worried about my shocked expression.

"I received a mail from a talent agency" Saying it out loud sounded even stranger. "They want to be my managers, and I don't know what to do" I turned to her, and she had a really big smile on her face. I let her see the main page of the agency's website, and her smile became even bigger when she saw Dan and Phil.

"That's incredible Y/N! I think you should accept" She suggested, she put her hand on my shoulder and continued: "It would help you a lot with your youtube channel, you know".

And for the next thirty minutes, Kayla sat next to me and helped me writing a reply to the agency, even though I was still extremely confused and didn't know if that was the right thing to do.

That decision turned out to be a good one: the agency arranged the first meeting two days after, in a quiet café in Kensington. Unlike what I expected, they didn't ask me if I saw youtube as my future job – which is something that I had never thought about – and the atmosphere was relaxing and calm. Even if it was just me and three people from the agency, I didn't feel judged or uneasy. They told me about how they could help me organizing my channel and also that having a management could make me earn more money. Being able to pay my rent and all the costs of living abroad was really important to me, and as I didn't have time  to apply for another job that could give me the possibility to do that, I thought that this was a great opportunity. I wanted to grow up and economically support myself.

I decided to join them and signed a contract. As soon as I got out of the café, I called my mum to tell her what happened. Even if she was still a bit skeptical – she thought that studying was really important and wanted me to focus on Uni – she said that she was happy for me, because she knew how much I worked on my youtube videos.

It was in fact very stressful: I wrote subtitles to all my videos by myself, in both Spanish and Italian. I enjoyed doing that, but uploading my videos was a really long process that took at least a couple of days of work.

I also texted some of my friends, who were extremely happy about that. Especially Kayla, who was probably my biggest fan.

After the meeting, I went to Oxford Street for another Christmas shopping session. I spent at least two hours buying loads of stuff – mainly for myself because why not – and by the time I decided to head back home it was 7 pm. On the tube, I took out my phone from my bag and played some crossy road. Then I received a DM on twitter. It was from Phil. I froze again.

I just heard that you're part of my management! I'm so happy about this! I really hope I'll see you soon. PS: I loved your baking video :)

And my day was now perfect.
