PHIL's POV
"Dan, are you ready?" I shouted to my roommate, hoping he wasn't still in the shower.
"Almost!" He replied. I headed to his room, expecting him to still be in his pyjamas. When I opened the door, though, he was buttoning up his shirt and apparently he only had to put shoes on.
"Wow, you're not late for once" I joked. Dan was always late: as a professional procrastinator, he liked to do everything in a hurry, like that time when we had to go to Australia and five minutes before the taxi arrived at our house he still had to pack everything and get dressed. Also, he sprayed deodorant in his eye that day. (I love that video)
"Is the car here yet?" He asked checking his fringe in the mirror.
"Yes, it has just arrived" I checked my phone and realized that, for once in our life, we could probably arrive at the dinner in time.
We caught our taxi and headed to the restaurant. It was the January 2nd and it was so cold that I was surprised it wasn't snowing yet. The streets of London were quite crowded, as always, and the fact that the place we had to go was in central London wasn't helping.
"Crossy road?" Dan asked me, taking out his phone from his pocket: he didn't need an answer from me, as I was seriously obsessed with that game. I won the first and second rounds, and as we were finishing the third the driver informed us that we had arrived to our destination. Me and Dan both struggled to get out of the car, which roof was quite low for us – we're both giants – and entered the fancy restaurant in which our first kind of meeting would be.
Both me and Dan are simple guys and all of that luxury made us feel a bit uneasy. A waiter approached us and Dan told him that we were here for our management dinner: he accompanied us to our table, which was fortunately aside from the other people, in another room.
Only our managers and Thomas (Ridgewell) were there, so we greeted them and chatted waiting for the others to arrive. Although the place was intimidating, our managers and our "colleagues" were easy going and nice. A few more people arrived in the next ten minutes, and between them there was also Y/N.
"Dan, there's Y/N" I whispered to my friend. "Come with me, so you can introduce yourself". She was kissing our managers on their cheeks and introducing herself to the other youtubers. I could tell she was quite embarrassed from the way she blushed when they asked her something, our congratulated her for becoming part of our team.
I headed to the end of the big table that occupied the whole room, where she was smiling and listening to our managers. As soon as she saw me, she smiled and moved a few steps towards me and Dan, who was behind me.
"Hello Y/N!" I hugged her, leaning over her as she was a lot shorter than me. "How are you?"
"I'm good Phil, thank you" she replied. I remembered that Dan and her didn't know each other yet.
