Chapter 17: Plans

"Z-Zuko?...." I look up at the towering boulder pile that was in front of us.

"Oh my gosh..." he says, just as shocked as I was. He then turns to me and puts a hand on my shoulder.
"Don't worry, I'm sure the others are fine."  I look at him with a worried look and nod.

After a minute or two I suddenly hear something. I look up and see Aang flying down to us. My face lights up and relief rushes over me. After he lands I run over to him.

"Aang! I'm so glad you're alright!" I throw my arms around him happily. "What about everyone else? Are they all alright?" I look at him anxiously. He smiles at me and nods.

"Yeah everyone is alright. I'm glad to see you guys are fine too." He smile at me and Zuko as Zuko comes over and putting his hand on Aang's shoulder. "Everyone's going to be really relieved."  We then hear a low growl/rawr and see Appa walk up from behind Aang. Aang' face lights up and he turns around, then hopping up and hugging Appa's head. "Appa! I'm really glad you're ok too, buddy!" I smile at both of them but then my face drops a little.

"So Aang.... what do we do now?" I say, back to my worried tone. Aang gets down and look at the huge wall of boulders.

"Well.... Toph and I could use our earth bending to move the boulders, but.... it would take some time." Aang then sighs. "We can't risk losing Azula. We got to keep moving..."

"Well me and Zuko could ride Appa and just fly over the wall of boulders." I suggest.

"It's too risky. If we're in the air for too long then Azula and her men might spot us... besides. I don't think Apps would be comfortable flying in such a narrow place." Aang pets Appa's head and then turns to him all the way. "There's only one thing that we could do... Ara, Zuko, you must go back to the lake and ride Appa across the lake." Appa grumbled a little, making it obvious that he wasn't too fond of that idea. "I know buddy, you don't want to cross the lake but... it's the only option we have... please buddy, for me?" Aang pleaded and smiled while petting Appa's head. Appa grumbled a little bit then licked Aang. Aang laughed as he was a bit slobbery now. "Heh heh alright, thanks buddy." He wiped himself off then turned back to us. I stepped forward.

"But Aang, that would mean you and the others would get there before us... what if something happens?" I say in a worried tone. Aang comes and puts a hand on my shoulder and smiles.

"Don't worry. We'll be fine. We'll make sure nothing happens, and that Azula doesn't harm anyone else. We'll see you on the other side." Aang nods and gives me a reassuring smile. I smile back and give him a hug. Zuko smiles at Aang and pats his shoulder.

"See you then." Zuko says with a nod and Aang nods back. Aang then steps back a bit and opens his glider. I'm a blink of an eye, Aang swoops up into the air and flies back over the edge of the wall of boulders. I sigh, unable to help myself from being a little worried and sad.

"Hey, don't worry about it. Aang is the Avatar. They are going to be just fine." Zuko says reassuringly.

"Yeah..." I lightly smile and then turn towards Appa. "Alright. Let's start moving." I could help but feel determined. If we hurried, we'll catch up with the others in no time. Appa, Zuko and me then begin are journey back to the Lake.

I know I say this a lot but, I'm sorry it has taken so long to update! Thank you all so much for the support! You guys are amazing! Unfortunately I won't be able to update for a while... but as soon as I can, I will! Thank you for all the support again!
