I yawn as I stretch my arms out. I like getting up early sometime; I do a little bending, feed Appa, and just get some relax time. Just as I was about to go out to Appa, something catch my eye. Hanging from the door frame was a slip of paper with writing on it. I take the slip and read: "Dear Aang, please remember to pick me up on Appa at sunset. I'll be in the small village next to the city. There's a near by meadow hill and at the top there is a house, that's where I'll be. Don't forget!" Oh great. Bringing Appa into public isn't the easiest thing to do. He's very popular with the kids. Sigh. I guess I'll have to figure it out.
The day flew by quickly and before I knew it, it was almost sunset. I remember that Sokka wanted us to meet a girl that is at his work. I go and search for the girls. I find them talking in Katara's room.
"Hey guy. Wanna go with me to pick up Sokka? We might even get to meet his friend he told us about."
"Well the second part sounds nice." Toph teases.
"Well, I think it sounds fun." Katara says as she stands up. We all go outside, get on Appa and start heading for the little village outside Ba Sing Se. We circle the village, trying to find a place to land. Then I remember Sokka's note, and where he said he'll be. I notice the house on the hill and figure out that we could land Appa in the near by woods. Luckily, there was an opening where we could land. After we land we start heading to the house we saw before. All of a sudden Toph stops and looks to her left, as if she sees-......I mean, "senses" something.
"Whats wrong Toph?"
"....I think there's someone out there." She says kinda quietly.
".......Hello?!" I scream. There was no responds.
"Hmmm.....I think there gone now."
"Well, we better keep going." Katara says. Strange, why would someone be out in the woods. Well, I guess there's reasons...but all well.
We get out to the meadow, and see the house from a distance. For some reason, I had a strange feeling. It was an exciting feel, yet nervous. I tried to shake it off as we approach the house. We see Sokka talking to two people, an older couple. He sees us and waves, yelling "Hey guys". He turns to the couple once more, and the couple looked surprised. When we get to them, Sokka introduced us.
"Guys, this is Koa and Sokin. Koa and Sokin, this is Toph, Katara my sister and-."
"The Avatar." The man, also known as Sokin, says in 'aw' as him and his wife bow.
"It's a pleasure to met both of you." I say respectively.
"Our daughter admires you so much." Koa says excitedly.
"Hey where is she anyways?" Sokka questions.
"I think she said she was going to the woods for a bit."
"That must of been what I sensed earlier." Toph says.
"Oh she'll be so disappointed if doesn't get to meet you."
"Wow, I never knew she was such a big fan of the Avatar. I should of had you come earlier." Sokka says crossing his arms. I smile at the rest of the group.
"Don't worry," my staff switches to a glider, "I'll go find her." I swoop into the air and head for the woods where I just came from. I flew over head, trying to see if I saw anyone. It was kind of hard to see with all the trees. Just as I was about to head back, I see something out of the ordinary. It looked like a wooden platform. I decide to check it out. When I land on it, I find that it is like a fort. I didn't want to go inside, because that would be like an invasion of someones property. This place must be someones, or else it wouldn't be hear. It had a pretty good view; I can see why someone built it. It was just about sunset, and the sky started to change into its radiant colors. It even was getting a bit cooler. I'm glad I wore more casual clothes. I had a loose, long sleeved shirt and pants on, and a straw hat, along with simple sandals. Even the Avatar has to have some casual clothes.
