Chapter 14: No More

I couldn't sleep. All through the night I kept having weird thoughts.... Almost like visions... Of Sokka... Zuko...... Aang.... Ugh! What's wrong with my head?

I rubbed my face and slightly sighed. I then sit up and look around at everyone sleeping. I need to get my thoughts straight... Or maybe I don't. Maybe I need to just ignore them. Maybe they don't mean anything at all and I'm just getting too anxious about everything.... Ugh I don't know.

I stand up and grab my coat. But I suddenly hear some rustling.

"Huh?.....Ara? You're awake?" Aang says softly, sitting up in his bed and rubbing his eyes.

"Oh. Yeah... I uh... I'm gonna go for a little walk, that's all..." I half whisper.

"Oh, I'll come with you-" he says and starts to get up.

"No no it's ok... I just need to clear my head." I hurry off and start to walk on the edge of town. I don't want Aang or anyone else to worry about me.... I've already caused enough trouble and put a big enough burden on them.

I continue walking for a while when I suddenly see a faint glow coming from around the corner of a hut and faint sound of voices. I couldn't help but check it out. I sneak up and slightly peer around the corner. To my surprise a see a group of bigger men crowding around and talking.

"Yeah I heard she's gonna take back the fire kingdom."

"Then eventually, everywhere!" All the men chuckle in agreement. I slight gasp....they're talking about Azula.

"Yeah she sent this message in the middle of the night. She's gonna be here any minute now to round up the recruits." They all begin to move deeper in town.

Oh no... Azula... She's gonna be here... I have to follow the men or else I might be too late! But the rest of the gang....  I look back in the direction I came. I knew they would all still be asleep, it wasn't even dawn yet. And by the time I reach them.. It might be too late.

I have to do it.

I turn and start to head into town, sneakily following the rest of the men.

They all were gathering in the town center. There were carriages and guards surrounding the perimeter and torches lit to use as light. And in the center of it all... stood Azula. She was speaking to all the men about how she was going take back what was "rightfully hers". I listened in behind one of the carriages. I had to think of a plan... Or else it was going to be too late. I hear Azula finishing up her speak and all the men preparing to leave. I look around quickly and did the first thing that came to mind. I hopped into one of the carriages from the back way. There was just a bunch of supplies but I was about to get in and sit down. I then realized.......

What the heck am I doing.

I am in an enemy carriage.

And if they find me, I could die.

Before I could change my mind the carriage begins to move. I hear Azula yell to the men.

"Why don't we leave a mark on this town to show that Azula and her army were here and no one can stop us!" All the men cheer and then next thing I hear were crackling of fire and the smell of smoke. I slight peek through the curtain to she Azula and some other fire benders spreading fire all around the town center. I widened my eyes in horror.

But soon that horror turned into rage. Azula needs to be stopped. And if I hadn't gotten in this carriage then we would have lost them, again. I want to be valuable to this team. I don't want to be the damsel in destress, I don't want to be the +1, I don't want to be the little girl that decided to tag along for the ride.

I want to be apart of the team. I want to help. And that's what I'm gonna do.

Yay! The next chapter!! ONCE AGAIN I AM SORRY THAT IT TOOK SO LONG. (I know I'm a horrible person T^T) and I'm also sorry that is isn't as long as other chapters. This chapter was reeeeeaaaaalllllyyyyyy hard to think up and I had major writers block (the struggle is real) but I managed to poop this out so.... Hopefully it doesn't stink too bad :D (buh duh ch) heh.... Anyways! X'''O ok I'll stahp bugging you with this talk stuff (or I guess writing) but yeah thanks so so so much again and don't for get to give my suggestions of stuff that could happen.... Yeah.
