"To burn with desire and keep quiet about it is the greatest punishment we can bring on ourselves."
-Federico García Lorca

He woke up feeling wet stain of tears under his eyes he must have cried in his sleep too. He wanted to go back into his dream, back to Jihoon. But he was wide awake now. Like in a protest he kept his eyes tightly shut as if that would bring him back to him.

It was quite. No cars, no sound of a human Being, the ground was soft and warm, but he was sure he lost consciousness on the streets. His headache was proving that too. He clearly remembered how he hit his head. As he felt cold hands around his head changing his bandage. Was he in a hospital?

"Your an idiot you know?"

A slight crack was heard in the voice he recognized instantly with this accent. But he wasn't used to the sadness in the others voice. How did Minghao find him and where did he bring him.

"I don't know whats wrong, but your an idiot for not trusting me enough to tell me right away. Everything was fine you were so happy to finally live alone and show your parents that you can make it on your own. I don't get it what changed this morning. I just don't get it and I hate how worried it makes me and how I can't do a thing about it if you don't tell me whats wrong"

The Chinese sighed he didn't know what to say, thinking the other still was asleep and he could practice what he wanted to yell at him. The savage words didn't came out just this caring mess. He couldn't blame him, they were alike telling no one about their problems to not worry anyone but Minghao always told him. Mingyu was the only one he could trust like that. He knew him so well and he knew there was seriously something wrong if he acted like this but normally if it got to that extinct Mingyu would tell him... At least that's what he hoped, that he meant that much to him. Because he cared so much and he really did hate it. His eyes were fixed on the bandage that hide the little laceration wound. He pushed some hair away of the others face to notice the stains of tears another shot of worry went through Minghaos Head. How could he be so careless to not notice all of this happening with him. He couldn't help it but blame it on himself. He was his best friend, after all they lived together now. And all he wanted right at this moment was that the other wakes up so he could find out what was wrong.

As Mingyu heard the worry in his best friends voice he felt bad for being such a burden and so self centered. All he did was think about himself but he had a friend here that needed him. This should be his priority his friends, the living, this reality. He could meet Jihoon in his dreams right... Couldn't that be enough. He told that himself over and over again hoping to believe it. Everything would be so much easier then.

All he had to do was believe in his own lie

He started moving and slowly opened his eyes as if he just woke up. Fooling his friend as he looked up at him. He instantly recognized those cold walls looking around some more he saw all his boxes. He was "home". Minghao was strong even when his skinny body seemed weak but that he was actually capable to carry the giant to their home even surprised him.

Mingyu knew the other was worried but he didn't want to make it worse or let him start asking question he couldn't find an answer for, he tried to search for the right words So Minghao would stop worrying.

"What's wrong?"

It was already to late. There was the question and Minghao looked so pure full of concern just for him. He didn't want to lie but he couldn't just explain everything. How he fell in love with someone he never met that only lives in his dreams? That be ridiculous and Minghao would probably think he lies.
