Riley dragged Lucas off the roof at 12:03 am.

What a great way to start the New Year. Kissing the wrong guy.

"What was that?"

"You're supposed to kiss the girl you're next to at midnight... so I kissed Maya."

That was the first lie.

He chose Maya.

In fact, all he wanted to do at the very moment was run to Maya, and talk about the last three words she'd said to him.

The words he wanted so desperately to repeat.

She loved him. She didn't like him, she was in love with him.

And he knew he didn't just have an inactivation towards Maya either. He loved her too.

"But you walked straight up to her!"

"She was crying, I had to see if she was alright. And you kissed Farkle!"

"Ehem," A voice says from behind them. "I'm Lucas' best friend. And I don't see Riley kissing me."

"Zay, we're talking here," Lucas tells him.

He sits down with a smile, and takes out a bowl.

"That's why I brought popcorn."

"That the actual fuck Zay?!"

"Language!" Riley and Zay shout at the same time.

"Why do I feel like I'm in a show?" Lucas asks with an annoyed look in his eyes.

"Back to what we were discussing," Riley says. "You kissed my best friend! At midnight! On New Years Eve!"

"What?!" Zay asks, loudly. "You and Maya kissed?!"

"Yes," Lucas says, a starry look in his eyes. "You kissed Farkle!"

"Finally!" Zay continued, still shocked that Maya and Lucas had finally kissed.

"Zay!" Riley yelled, that had been the first time she had in a while. "Leave now!"

"Fine!" He yelled back, smirking. "Cookie stealer!"

She frowned, and as she was about to yell back at him, she was interrupted.

"Riley Matthews!" The two voices yelled.

She rolled her eyes, and turned to see an infuriated Smackle and a blushing Farkle.

"Why did you kiss him?!" Smackle screeches. "You kissed my boyfriend!"
