Lucas stood on the porch, watching the world pass by.

"You still out here?" Farkle asks, staring at him.

The boy had been sitting out there for hours now, wondering what he was going to do with his life after high school.

Reflecting on how stupid he'd been over the last few years.

"Yes," He says.

"Lucas, are you still on this?"

"Yes! Of course I am! I love her."

"I know," Farkle replies, sitting down next to Lucas, staring at the city lights.

"We're graduating so soon," He tells him. "What if I never see her again? Farkle, she's fading away from us again."

"I know. And if you don't make things right, you might not."

"But how do I make things right?! I've tried! I've tried so freaking hard! She just won't give in!" He says, throwing his hands in the air. "I don't even know if she loves me anymore."

"Riley says she cries herself to sleep."

"Because of me?"

"Because she hates how stubborn she is, and she's too embarrassed to come back."

Lucas shakes his head hardly. "This is all so stupid! Sometimes, I wish I never came here."

"Don't say that," Farkle tells him. "You've made such an impact on all of us. Without you, we wouldn't be us Lucas. So don't wish that."

He turns his head to look at us. "I don't know anymore."

With that, he stands up, and walks inside.

He had one more month of high school.

She had one more month of high school.

And then they wouldn't be in touch.

He wouldn't be able to see her every day. Memorize her every feature.

Only one more month until it was all over.

He sat on the bench, watching the students fly by, watching for a pair of booted heels.

That's all he did.

Watch her.

It was pathetic.

And as he watched, he couldn't find her.

Until he did.

And it so happened, when he looked at his love, he saw another figure next to her.

Patronizing her.

Brandon.

"Just stop, go away!" Maya tells him, trying to get away from her.

"Oh come on Maya! Another chance, pwease?"

"No."
