Lorian was standing on the balcony, overlooking his kingdom. Deep in thought. It has been four years since the darkness had taken his father. He remembered when his father had protected him from it and hidden him away so that it wouldn't take him too. He was 15 then. Now as the heir to his father he took the crown and rules as his father once did. His thoughts was interrupted by one of his servants.
"Sorry for interrupting my king but i was coming to see if you needed anything before the party begins" said the servant.
"No, I'll be down shortly to greet the guests, thank you" said lorian.
The servant left and lorian took a deep breath. He walked to the mirror next to his bed, making sure he looked presentable. then he walked to his bedroom door and pushed them open. It was a grand hall with servants running around making sure everything is ready for the great party. A party dedicated to the overcoming of the darkness four years ago. lorian made his way through the wave of servants to the front doors to the castle. He opened the doors And a line of important guests were waiting to come inside. The first guest was a beautiful young woman in a purple and black dress with jet black hair. lorian lost his thoughts just marveling at the woman. He greeted her and pulled her to the side as the other guests made their way through. He looked into her eyes. Her eyes were unusually a deep blue. They matched the gem she was wearing around her neck.
"Good evening madam, may I know your name?" lorian bowed.
"Belle", she smiled.
"Would you like to join me?" he asked
Belle nodded. Lorian grabbed her hand and lead her to the dining room. Inside the room contained a big chandelier with huge crystals that sparkled as you walk under it. It also had a long table decorated with the finest silverware and plates. Everyone started to take their seats. Lorian walked to the head of the table and sat down along with belle who sat to the seat next to him.He waited for eveyone to take a seat before he stoodup again.
"I propose a toast".
"To The future ahead of us in our battle against the darkness and for hopes of finally vanquishing it forever!".
The people at the table all cheered and took a drink.
"Now let the dinner begin."
As lorian finished his sentence servants came through with trays of food for everyone.Belle tapped his shoulder.
"I want a tour of this magnificent castle" said Belle.
"Alright, Follow me".
They both got up and lorian took her hand and he led her through the halls of the castle. The first room he took her to was his study.
Lorian sat on his desk while Belle looked around.
"Finally, we are alone", said Belle as she got close to lorian.
He turned a bright red in the face. lorian looked in her eyes. They were no longer a deep blue that he had seen before. Belle's eyes had turned black like the darkness. Before he could react she grabbed his chest. A searing pain immediately sweep over him. He gave a loud shriek as the darkness started to spread within him. The veins in his body started to turn black along with his eyes. Belle finally let go and lorian fell to the ground. She proceeded to pick him up and throw him out of the castle window. She watched as he fell down to the ground.
"Darkness shall prevail", she whispered turning and leaving to join the party.
Lorian by chance landed in a haystack. Not only shortly after being drug away by a shadowed figure.
